Very polite staff. I have had no trouble with them, but they have been getting a bit slower lately with prescriptions. Maybe the amount of people being sick?

Very pleased to now be able to give a 5 star review. Thank you to the team for turning this service around. I very much hope this continues

Still improving, some of the team are great and some are less friendly but the speed of service continues to improve. thank you

Things are improving, definitely quicker and more responsive service, thank you and well done. I will remain loyal to you as my local pharmacy and very much hope the progress continues and I can edit again (review below was from 4 months ago) and I can give 5 stars. Good luck and please continue the improvements.

I hate giving poor reviews but of the more than 20 times I have been in to collect a prescription, I cannot recall ever not having to queue for at least 10 minutes and then wait for another 10 minutes and that is if they haven't lost my prescription. Please, please, please listen to the feedback. Everyone doesn't write reviews but I promise you 8 out of 10 of your customers are unhappy. When you ALWAYS have queues your customers tend to end up talking to each other and they almost all say the same thing! Something is clearly not working. The organization seems to be significantly awry. I have honestly never come across a more disorganised Pharmacy. I want to suport our local businesses but I am fed up and regrettably feel I have no choice other than to go on to one of the many online delivery services. I am really sorry. I wish you well but unless things improve I fear many others will follow suit.

I want to say positive things about this local pharmacy but it is hard. I find this pharmacy frustrating for two main reasons. Firstly, despite getting emails saying that my prescription is ready for collection, it rarely actually is. When I go and ask for it, they can rarely find my prescription and query when I ordered it. This has happened many times. Then, like many of the other people waiting in the pharmacy, I am told to wait 20 minutes, with no apology given. This pharmacy seems poorly run. Two solutions to the problems I’ve mentioned would be: don’t send out messages saying medicine is ready for collection when it isn’t. Just be honest or send out a more appropriate message - eg. your medicine will need to be checked when you come in and may take up to 20 minutes (if this is the actual reason). Frustration and annoyance often comes from poor communication. Also, if my order is actually ready for collection but no one can find it, maybe the storage of bagged up medicine needs to be put in a clearer order.
On a positive note, I have spoken with some friendly members of staff. Although some could be friendlier, the majority or nice enough.

I have quite a few negative experiences with this place, prescriptions are never ready on time always blaming the surgery! But they are also rude and find it amusing when something is out of stock, when they can be bothered to tell you. I doubt I will use them again.

My husband has just been charged over £13 for 20 capsules of Colpermin for IBS relief. I usually only pay £6 - £7 usually. We checked the price at Boots and it was just over £6. We called the pharmacy to check the price and it was confirmed it was correct and reason given was the cost they are charged by the supplier. But if that was the case it would apply to all retailers, even making allowances for larger retailer this is just a complete rip off by a local retailer taking advantage of local people who may not be able to order on line or travel to larger store. I could have even gone to doctor and got a prescription for same product and paid less on the prescription charge. We were refused a refund even though packet unopened! Won’t use this retailer anymore for anything and will use Tescos or Boots.

What a terrible pharmacy/ chemist . Waited patiently this morning to buy some products from the shelves behind those people who needed their prescriptions filling . No problem with that . The man in front of me was given an incorrect prescription and came back as I was about to get to the front so of course I let him back in the queue. Not once did the 5 staff behind the pay point asked me if I needed to be served until the point I asked the pharmacist politely “Can anyone help me ?” To be answered No You have to wait ... No apology and nobody came forward to assist me . In the end one of the staff walked past me ignoring me and was about to go through a door and I asked her to help me .. please . She then had to stop and help me and amazingly another member of staff came forward to help the next person , apologising to her for the wait. Amazing , The Pharmacist needs to go to charm school and the other staff need to put customers first , before their other jobs at the back of the shop .
Personally as for myself I would never get my prescriptions from there or shop there again . I certainly don’t need to be ignored and spoken to that rudely again .

Since this pharmacy was taken over by Avicenna, it has gone from being a friendly, well-run shop to one that I have found over the last four months or so to be rude, incompetent and very, very slow. I have seen stockouts, and the wrong medication supplied, and the waiting time for medicines that they do have and were ordered in good time is absolutely awful.

It's no use saying, as I see in replies to other reviews "Take it up with the pharmacy". It's had months to sort itself out, and it still has not done so. It is NOT the customer's fault, whatever they might think. If I could give zero stars I would.

So I have switched to a free postal service, not with the same company.

Since being sold this has gone from the best run pharmacy and pleasant to the worse run. For the last 3 months my repeat prescription has taken 15-20 days to fulfil despite ordering at least 10 days in advance of when needed. It is obvious stock is too low and the staff have no chance to get on top of things.
