The Winchester Cathedral Shop and Coffee Shop offer a delightful experience for visitors. The staff is friendly and helpful, making it a pleasant stop. The coffee shop, located within the cathedral grounds, provides a cozy atmosphere with delicious cakes, pastries, and freshly brewed coffee. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a break while exploring the cathedral.

Desperate for a cuppa and a sit down we took a pit stop in the cathedral cafe. The large cappuccino certainly didn’t compare in size to other establishments. If what we were given was large then I wouldn’t kind to see the small one. My teapot had a big chip in it and should have been thrown away and the water bottles for public use were decidedly grubby around the necks. It’s unusual to be disappointed when only ordering drinks but we were.

Extremely rude older member of staff told me off for using their toilet before having my coffee with family. Completely humiliated and she never apologies. Awful experience.

Great Cafe, good selection and if like me you need gluten free then there are good options, I had eggs with smoked salmon and it was delicious. The gift shop had a good selection of Cathedral gifts and were not over priced. Highly recommend the Cafe and the shop. Staff all very helpful as well.

Had a coffee and a bite in the cafe. The environment is very restful and the garden/yard tastefully done. The inside is large with refectory style seating but bright and airy.
The coffee was excellent, albeit service a little slow and it is obviously a pinch point in the queueing system, so maybe they should have more servers.
Well worth a visit for the restful ambience and the profits help with the upkeep of the stunning cathedral.

I think that when you first see Winchester Cathedral It can have a particular effect upon you. It can certainly leave a lasting impression.
I knew a little bit about churches and cathedrals beforehand. But Winchester is really a King 👑 of Kings. So I was not very familiar with the technology of the cathedral. But I knew that it would take me a long time to learn.
The relatively small gift shop is a great contrast to the massive Cathedral Hall. But its shelves are very nice and well stocked with goodies including, books 📚, clothing accessories, 🧸 toys, household utensils, confectionery, beverages, pictures, collectables etc
The staff are always super helpful and friendly.

Excellent gift shop with very friendly staff (must be a feature of the area). Lots of items of different sorts and for various budgets.

Recommend popping in even if you don't enter the cathederal.
