Whitgift Centre: London Borough of Croydon Council. It is a very unique and interesting place for shopping locations and business places from the wider communities and connecting urban communities for all their expectations and needs. Underground car parks are provided in many areas. 👀
Take care and good luck to everyone guidance continually along your journey going out and forwarding. Lifeisonebigroad with lots of signs it's just a natural mystic flowing through the air.

Mostly empty shops, neglected shopping mall plus now they got water infiltration and you walk through buckets. It could be a nice place to go with friends and family but at the moment it is only a very depressing place.

I had not been to the Whittier for a few years. It was not as depressing as I had remembered, but, in spite of a bright, airy feel to the place with lots of Christmas decorations, it still lacked to buzz that I look for in a shopping centre. Plenty of closures and empty units and groups of youths hanging around.

The service in Poundland was well below acceptable standard today! After waiting in the queue the assistant decided to serve a person not in the queue instead of me, I left the items and walked out! Clearly this person should not be in a customer service role.

This shopping mall is not bad at all. But compared to the rest of the malls like Stratford, shepherds bush etc, this mall needs development to make croydon stand out to be better than the rest.

Depending what time you go, it can be very crowded with queues especially during this Christmas month.

Unfortunately many stores during this pandemic on the ground floor and level 1 were mostly closed or about to shut down, you may see a few new businesses opening up but generally can be very barren these days.

Most retail stores and essential supermarkets etc are all still opened for business, some places are offering hand sanitisers at entrance as you walk in and have their covid regulations in place. A few security guards patrolling the areas to make it a little safer for everyone.

Very few shops left in Whitgift especially when you compare back to the good days when every shop was occupied.
It's a common site to see buckets on the floors to catch water coming in through the old glass roof.
Westfield did not help the situation by putting forward plans which means that a lot of shops left where they were not included in the plans and the plans never came to fruition.
