The owner can be very opinionitave and quite frankly hurtful. Nice breakfast but the owner will then rant on (while you're trying to eat) about something he's decided he doesn't like that day. He doesn't listen to a response and will shout over you. Unfriendly old man. We were placed here after falling in hard times. He clearly didn’t want us there and trust me we definitely didn't want to be there. I ended up phoning the council in tears asking to be moved from his emergency accommodation. He opens his doors and allows the council to place people there then treats them horribly and it’s not acceptable we were struggling enough and didn’t need the owner being so horrible. He’s a lonely old man who has t got anyone so likes to try and bring people down when they are already struggling. Luckily we have our own place with our baby 🙂 and he’s just a distant memory. Please don’t keep sending people here. He’s awful he really is

I would have given this place a zero if i could, nasty corrupt old man running the place, paying the guests that are put there through being homeless, giving cash in hand. The man blatantly lies and makes stories up to the council to have you booked out of the premises, putting vulnerable homeless people back on the street. Absolutely disgusting behaviour

The best place to stay in the whole of Chesterfield! The owner and staff were so kind and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and the rooms were so clean as well as having very very comfy beds for a fantastic nights sleep. Would highly recommend staying here.

If I could give less than one star I would. People need to stay away from this hotel as the staff are aggressive and threaten with violence then when questioned about it its not happened thought I'd leave a warning as to stay well clear
