Lovely local cafe with a bakery shop and cafe serving hot and cold food.
Great homely fresh feel, and clearly delivers on freshness and quality.
Popular with cyclists.
We had a cheese and tomato toastie and a cheese and ham toastie, with a cup of tea and a vanilla latte.
Lovely.
Latte was self service and wasn't told and sat there with a cup with syrup the assistant left, think the latte was coming and that was to top it up! Duh... Would have helped if the assistant had explained that as the tea came served...

Will be going back as a lovely chill out place with lots of British favourites on the menu.

Fantastic bakery and deli! All the baked goods looked amazing and I wanted to try them all. I opted for the sausage roll, burger, cherry, chocolate and almond tart as well as the chocolate muffin. The sasauge roll had a lovely thin crispy pastry with lots of deliciously juicy sausage meat, the ratio was great. The burger was cooked well, tasted fantastic and the cheese and onions topped it off. The tart was to die for and the chocolate muffin was light and fluffy and tasted scrumptious. Everything was amazing!

Today was my first time visiting. I was not disappointed. Staff are so friendly and accommodating, the food was to die for! Everything looks so fresh and tasty. I ate inside in a cute little seating area. Very pleased with my visit 😊

Some extremely good food; none of it healthy but almost all of it tasty and a great treat. Awsome breakfast sandwiches! Some items forgotten from bakery take-out order (got sense of lack of attentiontion). Venue slightly sterile; not cosy, but it's a bakery with a few tables, not a restaurant!

Such a delicious well baked cakes are sold here..I liked the wide variety of cakes and bakeries avaliable at this cozy place.
They also have a nice coffee, fresh snacks and bread.

Boaters, I beseech you! Visit Wedges from the bridge just west of Hockley Heath. A small brick bakehouse awaits you just a hundred meters walk orthopedic from the canal along a relatively quiet country lane.
The Lemon Drizzle cake is moist and tangy beyond compare, the bread ideal for sandwiches and toast, the Samosas slightly muted flavors from their more ethnic cousins found in Brum.
All of that is enough to commend the place to ylir attention, but what I loved was that the sales lady tapped the loaf of bread we ordered, and on slicing it checked(without being asked) that none of the slices had excessive air bubbles which would cause problems with butter or marmalade. She rejected the loaf, consigning it to a life as croutons or breadcrumbs perhaps, and sliced a second loaf. Upon confirmation that it was perfect, we toddled back to the canal and delighted in our newly acquired freshly baked goods for a week or so.

I have been to Wedges several times in the mornings and arvos, enjoying a nice cuppa.

I believe that your Vanilla slices are letting you down after making the unfortunate choice today to taste one of your cakes which to me was no more than a gooey, rubbery lump of sugar - very unlike the the fluffy, creamy variety I've had the pleasure tasting elsewhere.
I still like frequenting Wedges, I am not put off trying anything else you have on offer.

Shame egg wasn’t cooked properly still uncooked other wise would of been nice
