We purchased my bridesmaid dresses from Wed4less Stockport back in May just in time for our wedding in October. There aren’t many bridesmaid dress shops close to home and we weren’t prepared to take the chance ordering dresses online, so it was great to see all the many colours and styles they offer to try on. My bridesmaids looked beautiful on the day, we did have to get them all altered as expected as they come in one standard length. We went for the colour ‘Nutmeg’ and they suited our autumnal theme perfectly! We also purchased the flower girl dresses from you, they were perfect. Had a wonderful experience at Wed4Less and with Megan. I was shown around the shop and able to browse through dresses of my size and pick some to try on. Megan helped with giving advice on dresses, how dresses could be altered in the future and how they should fit. She was so kind and friendly and put me completely at ease. I visit Wed4Less this Sunday and had a fantastic experience. There were five of us in total (4 bridesmaids and our bride), the shop is a good size with plenty of choice.

Finding dresses can be pretty overwhelming, but our dress consultant Samantha was incredible and made the whole experience a stress-free joy! She showed us how the shop was organised into size sections, which made picking dresses much easier, and fully explained the options avalible to take home on the day or order in. We were incredibly lucky as the shop wasn't busy on a Sunday, so we had Samantha's undivided attention helping us chose apporpriate styles for our bride, and doing all the heavy lifting (literally!) getting our girl in and out of dresses.

We were more than happy with our experience, the process is streamlined and nothing was too much trouble, we never felt rushed, and it truly felt like a personal shopper experience. Our bride snapped up the dress of her dreams and were over the moon!

I went in Sunday and found the dress of my dreams for just £299 to take home that day, what's not to love? If you want to save a bit of money without compromising on quality then this is absolutely the right place. Carol was spectacularly helpful and honest, helping me get in and out of each dress and even picking one for me to try on. She has an excellent knowledge of the stock. I got to choose 4 dresses to start with, and was then allowed to try on 3 more. There were loads of options for me as a size 16 and some dresses were in multiple sizes. I usually have a hard time finding clothes that fit me comfortably as I'm very pear-shaped but I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was here. Lovely casual atmosphere, perfect if you don't want the fuss and upselling of a boutique.

A word of warning: the experience you have will depend a lot on how busy it is. Weekends are obviously busier. We showed up first thing on a Sunday and were the first customers of the day, so it wasn't too bad, but the waiting room quickly filled up and after an hour they had people queuing outside to come in. If you can't go on a weekday, try to turn up as soon as they open. The staff do amazingly and are so considerate even when they're busy, but you might be left waiting to try on the dresses you choose if they are busy helping other people, and might not be able to try as many as you want to. But some customers return multiple times if they have no luck the first time, so that's an option too.

Also be aware that while some dresses are available to take home that day, most require a 20-week order time, or you can get it a month earlier if you pay an extra £50. Speak to them if you have any issues, they are great at making suggestions to help you get everything you need.

2 weeks ago I said YES to THE dress!!

Lesley was absolutely amazing with me. She ‘let me’ try on my choices before she just waltzed in with THE ONE!!

It was not something I would have even tried on. I was literally dancing ? in it!!

As a more ‘mature’ bride I obviously was rather nervous but Lesley put me so much at ease and was very professional and discreet.

My best friend and I had laughter and tears …… HAPPY HAPPY tears!!

He’s to my Vegas wedding!!

Can’t wait to share my photos of my dream dress on my dream day!!

Visited the Stockport branch 2 weeks ago & we had Carol help us, she was totally professional & put me at ease straight away whilst trying on dresses. She talked me through the styles, the fit & about alterations. We left unsure with 3 dresses in the running ?. We returned the following week met with Carol again & re tried all 3 dresses on again (even though Carol had her arm in a sling), & I finally said “Yes to the dress” thankyou very much can’t wait to wear it next year. ?‍♀️

I was super anxious about wedding dress shopping but I had the most lovely experience here, I was assisted by Lesley who is a real credit to the store and was absolutely amazing even though I kept her for hours! I had no clue what style I wanted and tried on every single shape and style and kept trying on my final shortlist again and again as it was just a tough choice! She made me feel comfortable straight away and the nerves turned to excitement. She explained the sizing of the dresses and I was just so pleased to be able to try sample dresses that actually fit me and have an initial look through myself at first to get a feel for the styles and my budget. When trying each dress all the fastenings, materials, potential alterations were well explained by Lesley and she really helped me visualise my final view dresses (even lent me her hair clip so I could see hair up and down with the dresses!) and when it came down to the final two really helped me see that I could take the elements of both to make my ideal dress… so I very happily said yes to the dress!
