Customers are highly pleased with the extensive selection of plants and home wares available at Walkers Nurseries & Garden Centre. The bakery counter, in particular, is a standout feature, with its delicious baked goods receiving high praise. The on-site restaurant offers a pleasant dining experience, with a variety of hot and cold food options to choose from. However, some customers have noted that the cafe can get quite busy and may not have enough tables suitable for children.

The garden center also boasts a playground and alpacas for visitors to enjoy. For those looking to purchase a shed or summer house, Walkers Nurseries & Garden Centre offers an impressive display with some top-quality options. The kids' toy and book section also receives positive feedback, with a good selection of choices available.

Great array of plants, home ware and food. Cafe is lovely, plenty of choice between hot or cold food. Cafe does get very busy though with not many tables suitable for kids but if you can get a booth it's good. Alpacas in the distance. Playground was good for the kids. Bakery counter was amazing and the bakes were delicious 🤤. Sheds on display with some impressive summer houses. kids toys and book section has a good selection of choice.

I have visited walkers 4 times in the last 2 months to meet with friends for lunch. I can't resist the homemade quiche and fresh cream desserts. I enjoy browsing the gift shop and plant nursery and I have purchased a few items, but I do feel the prices are higher than other garden centres I visit regularly. The landscaped gardens are beautiful and peaceful, almost hidden away and probably not that well known to visitors.

I came for Sunday Dinner, skipped all the plants and made a beeline for the ‘mile long’ que.

I won’t lie, the wait was worth it.

Big shoutout to CLARE & JJ on the Carvery, not shy with portions & both very friendly (see images below).

The restaurant is excellent, clean, tidy, well mannered staff & reasonable price too. £40 for x3 full carvery dinners

Full glazed walls to see the new adventure park for the kids

Would highly recommend for food/drink/tea/coffee/cake etc

The garden centre is also great haha. Very big and the grounds are huge, allow for a good long visit and you won’t be disappointed

We’ve been to Roses 1951, a brand new dining experience, at Walkers Nurseries in Blaxton, Doncaster. The cafe bar is named in honour of Lawrence and Vera Walker, who began growing roses here, over 70 years ago. The bar serves coffee and pastries in the morning, and small plates and sharing platters in the afternoon, all paired with selected wine, beer and cocktails.
We opted for a Mediterranean and a ploughman’s platter (they each serve two people), together with some hummus and tapenade, all served with crusty sourdough bread. I had a pot of decaf tea, while the others shared a bottle of Viognier which apparently complimented the meal very nicely!
Everything was delicious, but especially the chutneys and cheeses, and the presentation was excellent! I suspect this may be one of our regular dining options in the future!!
