Underleigh house is tucked away in a quiet and beautiful part of Hope Valley and the views are exceptional. Hope village is a 25min walk away with lovely cafes and pubs and great walks on the doorstep. ||We stayed in the garden room as were travelling with dogs, and it was a brilliant space. Cosy, warm, with great facilities and very clean. We didn’t make use of the shared lounge but can imagine it would be lovely with a fire going in winter! ||Breakfast was amazing, there was so much choice and everything cooked and prepared fresh. Delicious! ||Vivienne is one of the best hosts we’ve ever experienced, gave us great recommendations and was lovely to chat to in the mornings. We’ll definitely stay again if we’re in the area, would highly recommend if you’re looking for an authentic stay.

We had a great weekend break with friends at Underleigh House. It is a perfect location for walking, without the need to drive anywhere. There was plenty of off-road parking for our cars. The accommodation is of a high standard, with many of the rooms having their own lounge area, and also a communal lounge where we could meet. Breakfast was delicious with cereals, muesli, fruit and cooked options. We ate at the next door Lose Hill hotel one evening, which was fabulous, and at the Cheshire Cheese Inn on the other night, which was also good. Thanks Vivienne for a lovely weekend.

Underleigh House is a wonderful place to stay. Nestled in the Hope Valley with fantastic views. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped and cleanliness is top notch. Vivienne has looked after us over many visits and is a wonderful host. In our experience there are few places that offer such a great experience with such consistency.

Just perfect! We had the Derwent Suite with a comfortable bedroom and a very well appointed bathroom and superb separate lounge where we could relax in the evening and watch TV. We were welcomed by Vivienne with tea and home-made cake. Breakfast was wonderful with enough choices to have something different every day for at least a week if you wanted to! Vivienne supplied a list of local places to eat including the hotel next door who give Underleigh visitors a discount and pubs in the village (within walking distance) and Castleton a short drive away. Games and books are available in the guest lounge together with maps and information on local attractions. We highly recommend this B and B.

Underleigh House has become our home-from-home in the Peak District and we try to get there a couple of times a year. Why is it such a favourite? Because it simply couldn't be better or offer more. |From Vivienne's delightfully warm welcome - to the ultra-comfortable bedrooms, the luxurious shower, the oh-so-delicious breakfasts and the glorious landscape in every direction, with every view. Everything is - yes it really is - perfect.|Extra points we love are the country darkness and silence, the cosy lounge, the advice on walks and drives and the easy access to so many beautiful places. And this part of Derbyshire never gets too crowded or developed. We're beginning to think about our Spring visit to Underleigh and the Peaks already!

Always such a pleasure to stay at Underleigh House. We have been coming for some years now and Vivienne’s hospitality and superb breakfasts never fail. It is our little bit of home from home in the Peak District. Thanks for another lovely visit.

We knew we had chosen a brilliant B&B when Vivienne served us delicious home made banana cake on our arrival. Our downstairs room also had its own sitting room with doors to the garden and parking area. There were lots of drawer and cupboard space and plenty of hangers. The bathroom had a walk in shower. Everything was spotless. Breakfast was chosen from a menu and handed in to Vivienne on the evening, with a time given when you would like it. What a breakfast!! I started with fresh fruit salad and yoghurt. There was every fruit you could think of, including figs which I love. My husband had the porridge which he said was brilliant. Breakfast could be the full works or any combination. There was also eggs Royale or Benedict. It wasn't just marmalade or jam for the toast either. The home made preserves were delicious. This is a wonderful place to stay, and Vivienne is a wonderful host. We certainly hope to be able to return.
