An excellent bookshop with a large selection over three floors. The stock rotates often, with new treats! The staff make excellent choices of which books to showcase. Their author events are popular and are always very enjoyable. This is a proper bookshop and no mistake!

Topping & Company is a gem of a bookstore. The cosy and beautifully designed interior, with its neatly displayed books, invites you to explore every corner. Their collection of signed and first edition books is always a delight to browse. The view of Ely Cathedral from the second floor is simply breathtaking, adding to the charm of the visit. What I love most is walking by the store at night, when its warm, golden lights shine onto the high street, creating such a magical atmosphere. I feel truly lucky to have such a beautiful bookstore in our town!

I visited Topping & Company Bookseller today and had a wonderful experience. I didn’t make a purchase this time—not for lack of options, though! Definitely my favourite shop in Ely! This is an absolutely lovely independent bookstore packed with thousands of titles and staffed by likeminded book worms! Many signed first editions and always updating new books as every day is a different choice on the new books tables! Highly recommended

Don't expect the same as the branch in St. Andrews, this place is somewhat smaller but still a large and wonderful independent bookshop providing a refreshing change from the mainstream. I discovered several books that were new to me on my one visit. The graphic novels selection is disappointing compared to St Andrews. You might blame this on lack of space but they still find room for an extraordinary number of manga titles if that's your thing.
