After having a lovely drive round, we decided to stop off at Thorners Farm Shop cafe for some lunch. There was a bit of a queue for food. It a small place and was very busy already, with most of the tables either occupied or with reservations, there was just one two-seater table left, which had a customers bag on it. (I wouldn't even give 1 star for this establishment). Feeling frustrated, we popped next door into the farm shop itself, and purchased 2 meal deals from the fridge (pasty, crisp and drink), which was actually cheaper than if we had been successful in eating the meal in the cafe. Although we had to sit in the car to eat our food, then went back inside the shop. They have a good range of products and the staff were quite friendly.

Lovely farm shop with some great local produce. Treats for pets. Beer and cider. Even a little refrigerated cheese room. A little expensive but worth a visit..

A lack of veggie options in the cafe is a disappointment although they will allow substitutions in snacks such as Paninis. Everything was well cooked and the coffee was very good. More veggie options please. The Farm shop is well stocked and some items are competitively priced with other local shop prices.

Drove 20 mins out of our way for some food at the Cafe as shows open until 5pm only to be told on arrival at 3.05pm they've stopped serving food!

After a very tasty breakfast we visited the farm shop. Came away with a vanilla and strawberry sponge and many ideas for Christmas presents.
Reasonable prices and many "bring your own container" ranges.
Will definitely go again.

Popped into the cafe today as me and my partner had been at Shepton Flea Market and were looking for lunch nearby. The website made the place look really good - I assumed the cafe would use some of the farm shop produce or at least focus on homemade fresh food. I was really disappointed to find this wasn’t the case. First of all, the waitress didn’t know which meats were available for the roast and had to ask the kitchen which was slightly baffling. We then had a 35 minute wait for food after being told it would take 20 minutes. When the food arrived, we were presented with what was clearly Bisto gravy which was the only gravy offered to my partner despite him ordering a veggie wellington. He does eat the odd bit of meat so not a major issue in this case but it seems mad that the staff hadn’t considered this. The menu also stated that the wellington contained mushroom and cranberry but neither were to be found - it was just an odd medley of veg. Presumably they were just using up whatever was on hand. Both meals were bland and Yorkshire puddings and possibly roast potatoes were frozen and just heated up. The carrot was very roughly chopped up into large chunks which hadn’t properly cooked. No trace of salt and pepper anywhere. Honestly, the worst roast I’ve had in years. I just don’t get how quite a nice upmarket farm shop sits next to a cafe serving up bisto and frozen yorkshires. The contrast between the two establishments is massive. I obviously won’t be returning as I like to spend my money on actual food.

An amazing place with super helpful and friendly staff - Vernon was in particular a very pleasant chap and was very nice to chat to as we packed my shopping.

The quality of the food and variety was excellent - we bought one of the frozen free range meals for dinner, and the entire family was very impressed (not always an easy feat!)

Would thoroughly advise popping in on your way past. Well worth a stop.
