Great hotel with very friendly and helpful staff... we didn't think the food was all that good and the prices were higher than other places around the same area but still worth a visit.. great views...

Perfect place for a short sea escape get away to unwind. Sea front location, fantastic, warm and cosy quiet room with comfortable beds, fresh good food and the most important very welcoming staff!
We stayed with my daughter here to celebrate her 16th birthday and we felt welcomed from the start. In our room there were waiting a surprise gifts for her with balloon included! and staff didn’t want me to pay for it. On the evening there was a nice entertainment, singing group in the traditional, well kept pub downstairs and in the morning we got a good selection of breakfast, we opted for a full English breakfast.
Definitely I really recommend The Wash & Tope for a sea escape. We will come back. Thank you!!!

I'll be honest, the first time I looked at this building, i was a bit concerned as it did look a little bit unclean in places. There was a large amount of damp above the staircase, and the rooms did have huge cracks in the walls, but the bed wasn't awful, the TV was very powerful for a seaside hotel, the bathroom was really clean and it is only a minute away from the beach. I wouldn't mind staying here again.

Went as a group of six, no ice (not had for approx 4weeks) told machine broken !! No Bacardi We were astonished that apparently out of ties with brewery but still cannot supply. We were told on 3 accounts by the manager happily sitting at the end of other side of bar to leave if we didn’t like it. Think he needs to have training in hospitality

Room 8 one night stay this week with work. Very tired room. Shower OK but bathroom needed some TLC. Had the appearance of having had serious plumbing work and wooden covers had been put back on by someone with 2 left hands. Needed paint. Bed was comfortable but could feel the fabric conditioner (possibly use something more gentle?) Would i return. Of course! Positive: Despite being a serious pub it was very quiet upstairs.

The hotel rooms were clean and comfortable, and very warm and cosy. |The staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. |We had everything we needed in the rooms. We had breakfast which was good. We arrived too late to have Sunday lunch, so cannot comment on that.

Every time we stay in Hunstanton we always come here. It's a v good pub with a good choice of drinks. Sport is shown in various rooms and the staff are more than willing to put whatever sport you require on. Food looks good from what I've seen but not yet sampled for myself.

We have been coming to Hunstanton for absolute years and this is the 1st time we have stayed here at the Wash & Tope! The rooms are a little run down and could do with some smartening up and leveling up as everything was on the slant! Whilst this makes for a small amount of characteristics it didn't make for a good night sleep! (Room 5) We did enjoy our stay with you and would without a doubt return to you if we was to get a level room🤣 but all that aside Your staff are absolutely lovely, very friendly and smiley was always happy for a little chat!
