We were greeted by very friendly staff and decided to sit outside. We didn't have to wait too long for our order to be taken, and when we did order, our drinks came out quite quickly .Our food followed quite soon after ,but then after a while, we had to move inside as we were being pestered by wasps.
But overall, it is a nice, friendly place to eat.

Dropped in for quick snack. Food excellent - friendly staff. Feels like old fashioned tea room which is very welcome change from the normal chains where each venue is the same.

Visited 'The Tutti Pole' on a Sunday morning, when passing through Hungerford, to grab some breakfast / brunch. There were no open tables available in the cafe so I opted for a take-away bacon baguette. As bacon butties go it was very good, a nice fresh white baguette and a generous filling of quality bacon. Price was £6.75 and the customer service was friendly and efficient. The cafe is located right by the canal and so in a good spot for having refreshments before or after a walk by the waterway.

I didn't know what to expect from what I could find out online, but I very much enjoyed my visit to The Tutti Pole.

The easiest way to describe it would be to imagine a 1990s cafe that has continued to thrive 30 years later. They have an extensive menu of reasonable and varied cafe style meals, as well as sandwiches etc. but with modern updates, such as the availability of gluten free options (I particularly appreciated them using a separate fryer) and more of a range of drinks e.g. mint hot chocolate, sparkling ginger drink. They also had a nice mixed array of puddings and home made bakes etc.

Portion sizes were generous (puddings were enormous!) and we all enjoyed our meals. The food was prepared very quickly and the waiting staff were efficient.

The only two minor criticisms would be that the food was a little cheap and you could tell this from the taste of some aspects of the cooked meals (kid's sausages and the peas were most obvious), and at times the service was a little inattentive.

However, these are minor negatives in what was overall a lovely meal. The chips were fantastic and the puddings were glorious. I would definitely recommend giving it a try!

Very unappetising looking cakes. Told soup was vegetable but it was curried parsnip and my partner can’t have spices. Four fruit stones in jam which I hadn’t been warned about! Chairs extremely low and hard, not ideal for tall people with bad backs. Charged an extra 10p we believe for salt and pepper!

Cosy eatery. Tea room and so much more. Gluten free options on menu. Big tip..
Buy two scones. One to eat in one to take away.
Proper pot of tea. We asked for an extra tea bag but really didn't need to. Pot of tea comes with extra water.
Worth a visit when visiting Hungerford.

This is a cosy and quirky little tea room with tasty, classic tea room food. The staff are always lovely and friendly. Decor a bit dated but I find this adds to its charm.

There is always a display in the window relevant to what is going on at the time. For example, they recently had a Lego scene depicting the Paris 2024 Olympics to mark the occasion. I find this always puts a smile on my face as I walk past.

My absolute favourite aspect of The Tutti Pole is the ice cream hatch (my name for it) where you can ask a torso (you can never see the server's head 😂) for an ice cream and they'll hand it to you through the little window, or hold it for you momentarily while you get your wallet out of your bag because if you are anything like me you cannot manage this with one hand while holding a whippy ice cream in the other, and then you can be on your merry way down the beautiful canal, or up the high street, enjoying a delicious ice cream. What a treat!
