I love wearing Silver Jewellery and have always wanted to have a go at jewellery making
Thanks to a google search I found Susannah in ‘The Studio at Wirksworth’ and I enrolled in her 1 day beginners workshop which runs from 10-4 pm.
What fantastic day I had! I learnt some basic techniques in the specially designed workshop, with some amazing views of the Derbyshire countryside. With some expert teaching from Susannah, who is very patient and enthusiastic and clearly loves what she does,I was able to produce my own pieces of jewellery to take home.
I am still smiling! 😊!
I would recommend this experience without hesitation and a visit to the shop where you can buy the beautiful jewellery created by Susannah and other designers.

This was bought as a gift for a 40th birthday and was everything I hoped for. With just my friend and myself in the studio for the day we both produced jewellery that we will treasure.
Susannah was brilliant, attentive but keen that our work was our own; patient and knowledgeable. She is passionate about her craft and excited to inspire the same in you.
*Also fabulous taste in cake 👌
I would recommend this to anyone who has a love of jewellery and and would like a meaningful experience to start their journey into silver smithing or progress into their own projects.

Ive just had the most wonderful morning at The Studio doing a Silver bangle making workshop - Susannah is so talented and made me feel very welcome. I’ve never done anything like this before and was helped at each stage to make a beautiful hammer finished bangle with charm. I’m super pleased with what I was able to make and it will be treasured. I would highly recommend and will certainly be back! Thank you for such a lovely experience x
