For me, this Cafe is helpfully located in a village, I tend to cycle there. The seating both indoors and outdoors is quite nice. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. Most of the vittles they serve are very very nice. The only downside to the food is that it's slightly more expensive than other places. Despite the cost, I will be happy to return as the quality of the food and drink is great.

Me and my other half decided to drop by as we were driving past.. the atmosphere was fantastic. We were served by the lovely and smiley Emily, who made the trip even more memorable. The food was also delicious!

I have enjoyed this cafe before but my most recent visit was a disappointment. I had the mountain burger served with sweet potato wedges and lemon cake. The burger patty was lukewarm warm at best and the wedges included 6 pieces of cold
soggy sweet potato. This dish was £14 or £15. If you’re going to charge these prices you really need to step up to the plate, pun unintended. The cake was not fresh.
This cafe is in a beautiful location and the service was lovely, but the food was a complete let down. Even if served hot I would have been surprised at the quality and quantity for the price.

I visited The Stove for lunch today and looked forward to “Mediterranean grilled vegetables with beetroot humus”. My interpretation of Mediterranean vegetables would be grilled peppers and aubergines, not squishy tomatoes and onion with a cursory tiny cube of raw red pepper at best. I anticipated a tasty beetroot hummus but instead a tasteless slop of beetroot coloured something which I have no idea graced the ingredients. Perhaps I was unfortunate and the grocery delivery hadn’t arrived. Or, perhaps the management has changed hands?
My friend’s butternut risotto was bland so it wasn’t just my meal that was below standard previously experienced.
I certainly won’t be returning even though I like to support my local businesses.

The team at The Stove are brilliant so friendly and fun plus the cooked breakfast was a delight. Fresh ingredients from the butchers round the corner and you could taste it! Not my first visit and won’t be my last! Thank you!

I had the mushroom, spinach and halloumi baguette, which I'd highly recommend

Friendly staff, busy all morning with a good atmosphere, if a little noisy; mainly a mix of pensioners and young families, with the occasional young couple. Food is simple, ample portioned, and we'll put together. Some interesting combos from the chef, who clearly has a good understanding of flavours (totally stealing some of his ideas for use at home!). Service is quick and the coffee is pretty good too.
