My daughter has a teddybear whose jacket had ripped and was no longer able to be done up. We took the jacket into the sewing room, and whilst not their usual customer request they did a wonderful job of fixing the coat! My daughter was incredibly happy with the repair, I highly recommend the sewing room.

I took my coat in to get a pocket repaired and they did it within the hour for me, I am so extremely pleased with their service lovely friendly polite staff. Recommend highly and I will definitely return for future repairs! Thank you so much

Have used the sewing room for along time and the service is always friendly, efficient with lots of valuable advice.

I bought a designer dress that needed taking in a bit on the straps and the sids. I was flying on holiday two days later and the sowing room said they could alter it in time. They quoted £50 for the express alterations.
I came the next day the lady charged me and then said do I want to try it on. The dress was so tight that it was squeezing my back giving me back fat that I don’t have. They agreed but said the straps were fine and then altered it meaning I had to wait 1/2hr.
I had left my two children with a friend as I presumed it would be a quick 5 mins into haslemere. When I got it home I could see that the straps were still too tight but there was no time to alter it before my holiday.
I then had to come back again to get the straps altered again. The lady agreed that the straps had also been done too short. So had to then go back again to pick it up a week later. It’s now the end of the summer, weeks later and finally my dress is altered. But now it has marks where they’ve altered it, cost me £50 and 5 trips into the shop! Which when you’re a full time mum in the summer holidays is far from ideal. I tried complaining and the lady said - don’t worry I’m not going to charge you any more for it!! No apology and no refund. My advice- don’t pay until you’ve tried what ever you’ve had altered on and don’t presume they’ll do it perfectly. See photos.

They have altered my wedding dress, various vintage dresses and even a very delicate 40s gown I was told by someone else could not be done! They are well worth the price for specialist alterations and I always feel welcome and in safe hands!
