There are a lot of products without a price or with torn labels. The staff who work at the checkouts are more attentive to having private conversations among themselves and to protect you if you interrupt their conversation to pay for the products you want to buy. They will serve you poorly and if they make any mistake when charging for a discounted product, that will be your fault. Since they don't have the slightest idea how to do their job.

Extremely Poor Customer Service – Left with Faulty Ā£150 Barbecue

I purchased a Ā£150 barbecue from The Range (South Bristol branch) in late summer 2022. Despite careful storage, the charcoal tray has rusted through completely. I contacted customer services and was told to speak with the store. I went to the store, only to be told I need to speak with customer services. I’ve been passed back and forth between them with no resolution.

To make matters worse, I was asked to get a third-party VAT-registered report to prove a manufacturing fault, which is completely unreasonable for an everyday consumer. I’ve provided photographic proof, acted in good faith, and still been left without any support or accountability.

Very disappointed with The Range – both product quality and customer care.

Can I just ask. . . Why put your phone number on your we site if no one is going to bother answering it I’ve had a look through some of the other reviews on here for this store, I’ve got to say as someone with 20+yrs managerial retail experience I do wonder what on earth the store manger is doing? More so, what is the area manager doing to rectify the obvious issues with this store? Is customer service a thing of the past for this company Poor service/or lack thereof, not answering phone, poor store standards, lack of pricing/correct pos! Come on guys, get back to the basics, clean and tidy presentable store, stock availability, great customer service, pricing clear and evident. It’s just the basics really! Poor show from your management team!!!!

I’ve never encountered a shop so consistently poorly managed. Every visit has been disappointing, but today’s experience was by far the worst.

I went in to grab some kitchen cleaner, and while picking one up, I accidentally knocked another bottle onto the floor. It spilled everywhere, creating an extremely slippery mess in the aisle. I immediately informed two separate members of staff, expressing concern that someone, especially an elderly customer, could seriously hurt themselves. I waited for a while, expecting someone to handle it, but no one showed up.

As I gave up and made my way to the tills to tell someone else, I saw both staff members I’d spoken to doing other tasks, clearly ignoring what I’d said. At the checkout, I told the cashier what had happened and mentioned that I’d already raised it with two people who had done nothing. Instead of taking action, she rolled her eyes like I’d offended her, charged for my items, and moved on to the next customer without a word of acknowledgment.

I had a terrible experience at The Range's Filton branch today, on Christmas Eve. As y'all know, the store is very large with countless items, and I had a hard time finding what I needed. After wasting over half an hour searching on my own, I finally decided to ask a staff for help. While the staff did tell me where the item was, they looked at me as if I were an alien from another planet rather than a customer.

I won’t call this discrimination against East Asians, and I’m not even expecting kindness. However, speaking to a customer with such a contemptuous expression and attitude is completely unacceptable. This experience has made me reflect deeply on what it means to be in the UK and has convinced me to never shop at The Range again.

The cafe is pretty terrible. The people serving feel like they're made to work there for free. Missing food, miserable service. The shop itself always has price tickets missing. It could be so much better

I’m not quite sure what’s happened in the outdoor section. We’ve had some storms recently but it looks like it's been vandalised with smashed up plantpots, plastic containers, Dutch trolleys overturned and plants strewn everywhere.

Nothing has prices on.

It used to be immaculate and so convenient to pick bedding plants up from on route to visit friends and family. I don’t think there’s a dedicated member of staff anymore.
