Just had to drop a note about The Original Cheddar Cheese Co. I grabbed some of their oak smoked cheddar, and wow, it's insanely good! Perfectly smoky and rich – definitely hit the spot. Also tried their chocolate-dipped cookies, and they were super moist and yummy. Everything was top-notch. Will definitely be coming back for more!

We visited the original cheddar cheese on a weekday, it was not very crowded. The lady that served us was very polite and very helpful. We bought the cave aged west country farmhouse cheddar and it's absolutely delicious. We totally recommend you to visit it.
It also has a very big variety of marmalades, chutneys, beers, wines and so many more. It's a great idea for gift.

We enjoyed the cave aged cheddar! Beautifully sharp flavor! We purchased a pack of snacking cubes and loved them after walking around Cheddar Gorge (and photographing Sheep!)

Cute little shop with a nice selection of what this town is known for- Cheddar! They have many other local products as well. Also found post cards here!

Shop owner recommend the Cafe Gorge for a good pasty- and was he right!!! Thank you!

Lots of cheese!!! We got the oak smoked one, super yum. Highly recommend getting mini wheels of a variety (3 for £16)

We popped into here whilst waiting for some family to get their haircut. Its a small quiet venue at the top of Cheddar highstreet. The coffees were perfect, as was the food. Waitress was lovely too. Had a toilet too, which was a good standard. Would definitely return again if in the area!

If its there, the treacle Tart was INCREDIBLE.

Quaint little shop with a variety of local gins, vodkas and cheeses. Staff is kind and helpful and has a great sense of humor. I enjoyed my interaction with him. I didn’t find out if he was the owner. Worth your time to step inside and see what you can’t live without.

This place is great, and I collected lots of local Cheddar and a cave aged Cheddar. The man who served me was very nice and polite
He also sells Glastonbury pickled eggs and shallots, just great to eat with your Cheddar
Will visit here again soon. You can also buy Cheddar actually made in Cheddar too, but all Cheddar here is local and handmade.
