I visited The Loaf on Saturday 21st January. We had seen reviews online and had been looking forward to visiting for breakfast/brunch. On arrival unfortunately no tables were available so we elected to wait inside for seating to become vacant. There is a seat in the corner of the shop adjacent to the counter that you can use as you wait and the friendly shop assistant asked us would we like a drink as we wait, we took her up on the offer and noticing that only one cheddar and stout sourdough loaf was left on the shelf asked would it be possible for them to remove it from sale and hold it behind the counter until we had eaten and was leaving? Once again the assistant was happy to help. Fortunately we did not have to wait long (approximately 5 minutes) for a table to become vacant. The menu had numerous delicious sounding dishes available and between the three of us we elected to have the rarebit and poached egg, avocado and grilled halloumi and creamy garlic mushrooms all of which were served on toasted sourdough. The food was delicious and all of us enjoyed what we had ordered, the quality of the tea and coffee was also fantastic and the service was excellent throughout. In addition to the bread, pastries and cakes the bakery also has some fantastic looking preserves and other deli items for sale. I would definitely recommend visiting this establishment if you are in the area. Thank you for our delicious brunch and see you next time we are in the area.

We used the Loaf’s delivery (and by accident collection) service via text. We ordered loaf boxes and various items to be delivered to ourselves and our in-laws.

The service provided by Suzie and the team was really good, the food itself is fresh and so tasty. With excellent feedback to all those we shared it with.

I can’t wait until lockdown is lifted so we can go and try The Loaf’s cafe facilities.

Thank you again, you’ve been brilliant!

Came in and ordered a sausage roll and cake - best sausage roll I’ve ever eaten and was hot (not dried out - perfect) and one of the nicest cakes. Well worth the price

I have just attended the Sourdough beginners baking workshop on Saturday and what a fantastic time I had. The Baker Keith was so helpful and really funny. The workshop was so informative, but such a good laugh at the same time. I definitely learnt new skills. The workshop upstairs was boiling hot, which is only to be expected with all if the ovens on, so definitely wear lightweight clothing, you can layer up if needed. The pastries provided to keep us going were amazing, the best I've had and plenty of tea & coffee of choice, along with lots of fresh water.

I'm booked onto the Christmas baking workshop and can't wait now. Thank you for a great experience. I'm looking forward to bringing family to the cafe.

Beautiful bakery and cafe making pastries breads and croissants amongst other things. We had breakfast and coffee here this morning which was delicious. I also bought a fresh sourdough loaf to take home. I understand that they also do pizza evening on Wednesdays. I strongly recommend.

IMHO they bake best bread in 50miles radius. They got an amazing selection of different rolls and bread. And on the top of that they make great cooked breekfast, so if you are ever in Crich, pop in and you will not regret it!
