We spotted the Jug & Bottle last week on the way home from the Wetwang Scarecrow Festival.

Lovely little shop and cafe, though as its a take away (with seating outside) everything is served in disposable cups or paper bags which is a shame, and makes eating cakes tricky.

Great selection and will visit again.

Summary - great place to buy wine, groceries, cakes and gifts.

I live reasonably local to the Jug & Bottle and decided to pop in when cycling though Bubwith. The staff were really friendly and helpful as we wanted a vegan cake but couldn’t see any.

Unfortunately they’d sold out but recommended a vegan spicy roll which was really good. I had a piece of lemon drizzle cake which was delicious.

The shop is well located in the centre of Bubwith and there is outside seating. Inside (the amazing building) is a great selection of delicacies, wine, beer and general groceries.

So, is it worth a special trip? I think yes and if you’re in the area then it’s definitely worth it.

Popped in for some everyday essentials, well priced. Also had a coffee and some cake. The staff were lovely and chatty. There is parking to the rear and an area to drink your coffee to the front and side.
I would recommend a visit to browse the lovely range of gins and wine, not to mention cheeses. ?

Some lovely upmarket foods to treat yourself or family with.

I would recommend a visit, if for nothing more than a lovely coffee and slice of cake!

I work for the Selby Podiatry Centre and we had a staff training day today during which our lunch was provided by the Jug and Bottle in Bubwith. We requested a selection of items for 13 including 2 vegetarians via e-mail.
The food was collected in covered platters and we had an assortment of sandwiches, pastries and various deli items along with a lovely selection of cakes and crisps.
We have ordered from The Jug and Bottle before and the food is fresh and very well presented. Our staff members are always delighted when we tell them that lunch is being supplied by the Jug and Bottle and there is never anything left over ( we all have second and third helpings)!! The flavour of crisps is always unusual and our favourite so far is pickled onion. The Jug and Bottle have also supplied lunch for us on a smaller scale for birthdays and impromptu celebrations , nothing is too much trouble.
I would definitely recommend using the Jug and Bottle the food is always fresh, delicious tasting and well presented!! We will definitely be using them again ( already booked for October )

Excellent place! Lunches with draft beer, coffee etc! Great selection of bottle beers, gins, wine, etc! I recommend a visit to The Jug and Bottle!

A treasure trove of delights where you can spoil yourself or someone else but also has the basic essentials if you need them. Hidden in the back is a chilled veg room with daily deliveries of quality fresh fruit and veg which you can weigh yourself. If you need help or advice with anything the fabulous staff go above and beyond.
