I used to visit The Tailor of Gloucester’s shop when I was little - I grew up reading Beatrix Potter books, so this place had always been very special to me. Prior to last week, I don’t think I had been in since about 1985, so i was delighted to find it tucked away and as full of treasures as ever! In a world of big-screen TVs and digital everything, it’s good to know that Miss Potter’s friends still enthrall readers of all ages to this day! 🩵

Such a lovely place dedicated to Beatrix Potter, the author of The Tales of Peter Rabbit books. Located in a narrow street, this hidden jem is full of history. Small shop full of Peter Rabbit items, with cute little details such as knitted mise hidden under tea cups. There is also a TV where kids can sit and watch the animation. On the second floor there is a little museum. The lady at the shop was very friendly.

A lovely little shop that I truly see as part of Gloucester’s heritage, perfectly situated next to our beautiful cathedral. I bought a pin cushion here years ago, and I still have it to this day!

Beautiful lovely shop with small museum on the second floor. The shop keeper was lovely and explained us the story of Beatrix potter and one of the stories that was based in gloucester and this shop! It was quite busy but worth to come in 🙂
