Just had the most amazing Sunday lunch! The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavour, and the staff were incredibly efficient and super friendly. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Thank you—we’ll definitely be back soon!

Visited for a birthday. Classic pretty little country pub. Menu was proper "pub grub" done to a good standard. I had a chicken parmo with a few black sheep ales on cask. Wife had steak and ale pie which looked mega. The kids wolfed down their sausage and mash. Food was great, staff were great. Will be returning!

Visited for the first time this afternoon for an impromptu lunch for two. Wonderful warm welcome and super cosy interior. The service was warm, friendly and homely. The food was delicious- I plumped for the Steak, Onion and Black Sheep ale pie which was scrumptious and my partner had the Asian duck which was equally as delicious. A hidden gem, but well worth the drive to find it! Highly recommended

We recently visited for a birthday meal, while the food was very nice and the place generally had a good atmosphere, the service was lacking. We waited well over an hour after ordering for our food to arrive, with no apology or explanation. We then had a similar 1 hour wait between ordering our dessert and it arriving at the table! The staff were blunt with customers and with eachother - there was an older lady who I assume was in charge of front-of-house(?) who spoke to the other waiting staff in an incredibly rude manner. There are other pubs with better food and staff, we won't be rushing back.

Cozy, charming and welcoming, dog-friendly pub with a decent selection of beers and hot chocolate for the teen. Quirky decor and comfy seating next to the fire made our first ever visit an unexpected and very pleasant surprise not far from home! Will be back soon to try the food...

Lovely pub, very polite and courteous staff.
Not giving 5*'s as Sunday lunch roasties were forgotten - we had to ask for, and they served up roast pork without apple sauce, called me old fashioned but you need apple sauce! (Also what was brought came out of a jar)
Saying all above, I like the place and I'm going back next Sunday 😀

We recently came for lunch for our anniversary and Hotham Arms did not disappoint.

We enjoyed fish and chips and a steak and chips. Everything was superb from cocktail and pint to food and service. Best of all there is a lovely atmosphere about this place.

We walked up through the estate from North Cave and it was beautiful.

I would definitely recommend this place for any occasion.

Absolutely perfect family meal today. I can not praise them enough. The staff where fantastic. The food was exceptional and the place is stunning. We are definitely returning very soon. Returned for the second time and what a disappointment, food was absolutely terrible. The beef was raw! Vegetables when under cooked and just warm. The yorkshire pudding was soggy not like the first meal at all. The cookie chocolate dessert was like a brick could not even cut it. So won't be revisiting.
