Just went to the bakery. I’m a local. Food is always lovely. The staff are normally amazing, till they hired one of the staff. Elder lady, never looks happy. I simply asked if I can pay cash and card. Never even checked to see if she can do it, I have never had an issue with this till her. She clearly didn’t have a clue but she was rude with no care towards me and this hasn’t been on this one occasion. Thank you to the woman serving me she is the only reason this is bumped up to a 3 star. She was absolutely lovely like the rest of the staff, Other than the rude woman! I’ve been here for years this bakery is an absolute gem. Very highly recommend. Glad to have this in the village! I do have to say, prices have increased a decent amount from when I first was going to this bakery which is disappointing but it is good food!

I come here every now and then for an early morning bacon roll before work at about 7am. It's always fresh, tasty, and excellent value! Plus the service is always great. Overall it's a great little bakery full of amazing food!

Small bakewell tarts up from £1.20 to £1.85. No excuse for this price increase. I see they get good reviews but there will come a time when the locals will realise they are being ripped off.

On Friday the 3rd of November I purchased an Almond croissant form the bakery over the counter. I have ordered them before but this croissant was outstanding the best one I have had from anywhere it was beautifully cooked and absolutely full of almound paste. I usually get an Almond slice, but I willl probably have to have one of each if they continue to be this superb.

I made a big mistake stopping here. All I wanted was a sausage roll.
It was vastly overpriced (£2.25) very, very greasy, ( by the time I stopped to eat it the paper bag was saturated) and the pasty, despite looking quite crisp on the outside, was soggy and bordering on raw. It tasted pretty disgusting, to the point of inedibility too
If I hadn't driven so much further on, because it was lava hot, I would have taken it back and demanded a refund.
Never again!!
I could have bought four absolutely fantastic ones for the same money at my local bakery.

A very good example of a village bakery, excellent products and always friendly and cheerful. If you go when it’s busy, there may be a bit of a wait but it is worth it.
