Absolutely gorgeous boutique! Warning: you won’t be able to resist buying something! From cute sheep characters to up-to-date bags, going out tops, to cosy sweaters, and really pretty summer dresses. And the best costume jewellery range in the Lake District. This lovely little shop really has something for every occasion 💕

I have only been able to order on line for geographical reasons but the service has proved to be fast and efficient. Should I need to raise any queries the staff have gone above and beyond to be polite and helpful. I am planning a trip there myself soon to meet them in person and buy more sheep. You can't have too many.

I have never had the good fortune to visit this stunning little boutique in person as I live in Spain. However, the next time I visit my in-laws, who live near Blackpool, I am going to book a day especially to visit. I have made a few purchases on line and am always delighted. The parcels are beautifully wrapped and my last one even contained a little prezzie. Cant recommend this place highly enough.

I recently stayed near Bowness on a short break. I visited The Hen House and absolutely loved the clothes - some items quite different which makes a lovely change. I bought trousers and am very pleased with the fit. I also ordered a pair of trousers online and Jo posted the trousers very quickly with a lovely little surprise inside! I love my new cargo pant trousers, especially the sparkly pockets. I will definitely shop with The Hen House again!

I have loved this shop forever! I used to live not that far away, and I used to shop quite often in Bowness, and then I moved close to Kirkby Lonsdale, and they had a cute little shop there for a wee while. I now live in Devon, and we are blessed with some great clothes shops, but thank heavens for online shopping, so I can get my Hen House fix!! I love the clothes, and the great service that Jo offers, there is always a little surprise when you open the parcel too. Keep up the good work, you have an amazing shop x
