My experience here with Carmel (and with Cath who expertly altered my dress) was fantastic and I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a dress for their big day. I was made to feel welcome and comfortable, and there were a range of sizes to fit any bride. I felt amazing on my big day and I could not be happier!

Fantastic wedding dress shop! As someone who is plus size, I was very nervous about wedding dress shopping. I was nervous about trying anything on and even starting to look for the right dress. Having done some online browsing, I booked an appointment, knowing which dress I wanted to try on that I knew was available to try on at the Bridal Gallery. I booked an appointment to go on my own and Carmel made me feel comfortable and right at home. I tried on two dresses, but the first one I tried, I knew was the one. I took my mum and MOH there a couple of days later, and following a poor experience at a different bridal retailer, when broadening my searches, I knew that I didn't need to look any further.
Carmel was absolutely fantastic and I couldn't have asked for anyone better to support me in getting this dress sorted for me. The alterations fit me perfectly and we were able to add some additional lace designs (ordered in extra alongside the dress) to my sleeves. I also purchased my veil there too! Cannot recommend the Bridal Gallery enough!

I had the most fantastic experience with Carmel. Being a bigger bride there is always the worry that you won't find "the" dress. Shouldn't have even given that a second thought while visiting the Bridal Gallery. I love my dress and had so many lovely compliments. Carmel is fab, she makes you feel completely at ease and is so lovely. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to have a great wedding dress experience. Loads of love

After having a very disappointing appointment elsewhere, finding Carmel and going with my friend to try dresses here I can only say the experience was everything we could have wished for her.
Not only did she find her dress with no pushy sales tactics in a dress that fit and no ‘imagine if’s’, the dresses and accessories were beautiful, the customer service was impeccable, Carmel not only made the bride feel comfortable she’s made everyone feel involved and so at ease. It was such a lovely afternoon, and the brews are cracking!

I had the most amazing experience with carmel, I have been to a couple of bridal shops that promised curvy collection and been squeezed in to a 16/18 and told they could order my size. But when your buying that special dress you need feel amazing and fall in love! And I absolutely had that with carmel and her fabulous collection. Carmel is the absolute best. Very kind, considerate and completely non judgemental. My sister and I both bought our wedding dresses from her. I was so nervous, and she was able to put me at ease and actually picked out the dress I ended up going for. The shop itself is beautiful and calm, there's lots of space and she is very accommodating. Her lovely assistant Billy is very professional and sweet too. Carmel is very knowledgable, and even gave us some free advice for my partner's dress. Would really, highly recommend a visit.

I cannot thank Carmel enough for everything. As a plus sized bride it is hard to find shops to cater for you, especially in Yorkshire. Carmel was the third curvy bride shop I went to and she was the only one who never told me what size dress I was trying on, it was all about how it looked and felt not the number on the tag!
Bridal dress sizes are silly and had she have told me that the dream dress I had on was 2 sizes bigger than my high street size I would have been upset. But she never did, she put me in it and all that mattered was how incredible I felt and looked in it.
She’s very quick to respond to messages, nothing is too much trouble for her and the overall experience was fabulous, I travelled an hour and a half to find this shop and it was worth every second.
I am so excited to collect my dress very soon and then wear it on my big day.
I would highly recommend the bridal gallery, no questions asked!!!
As for pricing…. Well you ring any top bridal branded shops and the prices are similar, she does have some sale dresses which are off the rack but even then, you must remember these are designer labelled wedding gowns, so although very cheap for designer labels, they are not charity shop prices!
You get what you pay for at the end of the day!!
