This is a lovely little restaurant in the centre of Hungerford. The food was phenomenal. I had Boeuf Bourguignon, that was beautifully rich and flavourful, with dauphinois potato to die for. Finished off with a fabulous crème brûlée. Highly recommended!

We overheard two people in an antiques shop saying how good the French onion soup and mushroom soufflé were so went to try. They are not wrong! Best informal lunch we’ve had in years. Delicious. Highly recommend.

So glad we decided to pop in for an unplanned lunch. Food was excellent, could easily have been in France. Well priced, friendly service, good choice of food. We had 1 seafood crepe and 1 menu du jour which was ample for 2 for lunch. Worth booking, we were lucky, it got busy. It was a little cramped inside, but that was fine, and we had a good view of the high street. We'll be back. Merci!

In one (French) word: Formidable
This small new bistro in Hungerford is like gold in a silversmith shop - outstanding in every good way. Genuine French with a chef with Michelin credentials and food to die for. Every item on the menu is a temptation and visiting here might become an addiction. The service is exceptional, the staff most friendly and the choices on the menu very inviting. Why go to Paris when you can go to Hungerford? In addition to table service, there is a deli counter and we had to buy some additional goodies to take home after our lunch. They also do deliveries. The prices, considering the quality of food, are quite reasonable.
We'll be back.

We were greeted in a cold and unwelcome way by the staff. Food was OK but overpriced. The coffee was served in a small cup and was very weak, just tasted like hot water. I told the server and nothing was resolved. She said it was served from a cafetière but I was not given one in my order and I asked for an americano. Looking at the receipt it says cafetière and can’t believe it costed £4.

This place is amazing, authentic French cuisine handmade by the owner. We popped in for coffee and croissants, you can eat meals there as well. Great delicatessen selling all kinds of French dishes, including part prepared food for you to take home and cook. This is just like being in France here.

We loved it, but sadly had to catch a train so could not try pushing too. I had a very delicious salmon quenelle with lobster cream. My wife had a chicken baguette. A great treat - and charming staff and beautifully run. Thank you
