We had a wonderful stay at the Feathers at Holt. From the moment we arrived the staff were very helpful and Friendly. Sarah our server was just lovely and the food was fabulous. Our room was lovely with some great little touches (fresh coffee and fresh milk) and was decorated to a high standard. Super comfy bed, pillows and duvet. Looking forward to breakfast. We will be back.

We recently stayed at The Feathers in Holt while filming in the area, and it was an absolute delight. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms were wonderfully comfortable, providing the perfect place to unwind after a long day.

The food was fantastic – great flavours and beautifully prepared dishes that really hit the spot. The Feathers offered everything we needed and more for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Highly recommend this gem in Holt for anyone visiting the area!

My partner and I are staying here as I write…. Check in staff were welcoming and friendly. Room is exactly what we’ve come to expect from the many Chestnut group rooms we’ve stayed in. Warm, very comfortable and clean. We’re in room 24 which is large with a great double aspect.
We ate in the restaurant tonight and had a wonderful time…. Although the food was great and service prompt it wasn’t that that had made the night so good. You’re only as good as your staff and one member of staff in particular was simply brilliant. I think she was one of the management team, she had the perfect balance of humour, friendliness and banter…. ‘John’ didn’t give us her name but she’ll know who she is…. I hope she has an amazing date in Figbar and next time I want custard 😉….. We’re looking forward to breakfast in the morning!

Really disappointed. Two staff saw us on arrival. One walked past and did not even acknowledge or say ‘be with you in a minute’. Simple hospitality lacking, and takes no effort.

Had pie of the day. The pastry was as good as raw as cooked in a silicone mould. The pastry was like flour and lard. The meat was the poorly trimmed with fat globules and connective tissue.

Chips were hard and undercooked. Chefs constantly saying ‘Chef’ to each other which came across false considering the poor quality of the food.

Expected a lot more but was really not of the quality expected. Cannot recommend.

We went for Christmas Day lunch. Starter arrived quickly, and was hot and very tasty. But then there was a considerable delay in getting the main, which was cold when it arrived. People that came in after us got served before us, so I think we’d been forgotten. We didn’t complain as staff were rushed off their feet anyway. Ordered drinks from the bar, but ended up having to get up and go to the bar to get drinks as they just didn’t arrive in good time and we wanted a drink with our meal. Dinner itself was mediocre at best - there were FIVE (yes, five) very large parsnips almost entirely taking up the (cold) plate, Brussels were very hard and undercooked and there was a random large bowl of cabbage served on the side, also undercooked. Had to ask for more cranberry sauce than the tablespoon provided on the table. The whole thing was just very disappointing. At £100 per person, we definitely expected a lot more. Have to say that the serving staff were excellent, friendly and helpful, but just seemed to be absolutely rushed off their feet with not enough time to cater to people, and there were not enough of them for such a busy service. We definitely will not book Xmas lunch here again.

Had a fantastic meal at The Feathers recently!

The service was very friendly and accommodating, and made the suitable adjustments to ensure my meal was safely gluten free. All of the dishes I ordered were flavourful, and very hearty. The steak and the beef main dishes were equally delicious, and the mushroom pâté starter was an unexpected delight. Also - the cheeseboard! Just wow, wow, wow.

Overall, recommended when in Holt!

Lovely pub/hotel smack in the middle of Holt Busy but not rammed. Great beers. Food is fairly standard pub fare but really good wine list and the service from all staff was brilliant. Room was a good ‘pub’ room but really comfortable beds and nice touches such as little flasks of fresh milk to make tea in the morning. Would definitely stay again.

Brilliant place to stay !
We traveled down from Liverpool, for business as we are a removal company moving one of our customers, to Norfolk.

A lovely lady called Sarah sorted 2 rooms for my self and the lads, she also put the keys in a hidden spot for us to collect as we arrived very late.

Breakfast was really nice too !
