I headed into Evesham earlier today specifically to buy my teenage son a new coat. After doing the usual shops, peacocks, and sports direct with no success, I decided to try the charity shops. This particular charity shop was my last hope! I was lucky enough to find a green combat style superdry jacket in his size for £15 perfect, I thought i will buy him a new one next year instead. I picked up the coat to find another exactly the same in black behind it with a price tag of £8 so I double-checked the price tag on the green one again only to discover that someone had tried to cover up their name on the label in black marker pen. I took both coats to the cash register to query why there was such a large price difference as the higher priced one was obviously damaged. I was pointed in the direction of the lady in charge, I queried it with her she looked at the coat and just said, im fine with it... I took the damaged coat back and was walking to the till with the black one when she said the sleeve on that one is torn and has been stitched and proceeded to show me! Long story short, I chose the green one, hoping I can somehow remove the marker pen. I paid for the item, placed it over my arm, and realised that the green jacket too had been ripped on the back and was stitched! At this point, you can imagine I was a little flustered after choosing between a black jacket with a torn/stitched sleeve for £8 or a green jacket covered in black marker pen with a torn/stitched back for £15! The cashier asked if I wanted a receipt, to which I replied yes, just in case he doesn't like the pen or stitching! I hadn't even made it to the door before these ladies started whispering and voicing their opinions "unbelievable" some people! Amongst other things and some people meaning me... I mean, seriously, if you must have an unpleasant conversation about a customer, at least wait until they leave! I got home and found a tear on the inner left shoulder and biro/pen on the front and back. All this just because it was a branded item! If it was a lesser brand like Next covered in pen marks, tears, and stitches, it would have been thrown out.

I am so happy that I got the opportunity to be a volunteer here, because the charity is such an amazing cause. Everyone there including the managers are such lovely people. They are always kind, helpful and professional. I must say, though, the free tea/coffee and biscuits seal the deal!

Reasonable prices and great selection for people who need
Always friendly and welcoming and lots of patience (when I’ve been there) also great back door to drop off save carrying through main town
