Always great coffee and excellent sandwiches/toasties that are freshly handmade to order by a friendly barista. What more can you ask for?

Good pricing, track and trace in place but weren't asked by staff to do it. Good coffee but feel the customer service could be improved. The welcome was odd ... It was not warming like other places I have been to, we weren't given a menu but not sure if this is how this place works but when there is no menu at the rear seating area how do you know what there is to offer. We also had to call over to say we were ready to order but again not sure if we were meant to go to the counter however if we were then they didn't explain this upon arrival either. There was also another table behind us and they seemed baffled by the customer service as also asked me how to order. Overall I like how quaint this place is and love the decor just a shame about customer service.

A real missed opportunity. Living in Oakham we would so like a good independent coffee shop to succeed but the place is often cold, you sit on cold metal seats, the chap serving (brother of the owner apparently) looked irritated when I asked for my coffee to be re-done. Why don’t these places check out the competition (Costa, Cafe Nero etc) and consider whey they are so quiet? Try a cosy corner with comfy seating, staff who ooze “nothing is too much trouble” Shame

Very disappointing visit - staff unfriendly, no food available for some reason, coffee average. Also recently found out they have a zero star hygiene rating..
There are other much better coffee shops in Oakham!

This is a lovely, cosy little cafe which sells excellent coffee at a reasonable price. Very nicely decorated a little different and quirky. Although I did not sample them myself, they sell homemade cakes which look amazing and you can also buy fresh sandwiches. There may be other coffee shops in Oakham but I would rather go to an independent coffee shop like Daily Grind than other high street coffee shops.

I don’t get it? Confusion over whether they had food or not? No drinks menu, for a specialist coffee shop? Place was empty and I see why…..strange experience, so we went elsewhere. Everywhere else in Oakham was well busy…I wonder why.

Just a lovely place to go for a relaxing coffee, must nicer than the "national" coffee houses, with great service at very fair prices.
