Absolutely wonderful experience and the owner is super friendly and helpful!! Came to just above £30 for my mum and I to paint, glaze and fire and have a drink each, which is incredible. Bring a friend or family member or partner because this is the perfect way to pass the time and make some memories and something handmade to cherish forever. This is my second visit and it was just as pleasant as the first.

My family and I spent the morning at The Craft Shed with Clare and her super team. We wanted handprints of our toddler as Christmas presents for grandparents (coasters and baubles). As usual, my son was completely uncooperative (!!) but Clare was honestly such a pro- so kind and patient and was brilliant at engaging him in the painting and getting absolutely beautiful prints for us. I'm definitely going back there again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Clare to other families looking for a really fun activity out, that's reasonably priced, with very kind and professional staff.

Visited this little treasure today, nicely hidden out from the main shopping madness in Basildon Town.

Claire was very attentive and friendly and explained the entire procedure to us all. There was plenty for our two kids (9 and 5) to do... Although it appeared the wife was the more excited to be painting a gnome model!!

We spent around 2.5 hours inside which appeared to fly past! Our pottery models have now been sent off to the kiln for the final stages before we collect them again next week!

Great little venue for the kids (and parents). They serve coffee, drinks and snacks too.

Be sure to visit at least once and entertain the kids!

I've visited the craft shed many times over the years with my children and have had a lovely experience every time. As an anxious person, it's invaluable to have found somewhere so friendly and relaxed where I can take the children for an afternoon out and not worry about a thing. The prices are clear and there are activities for all budgets so no nasty surprises. The room is airy and roomy and there is no pressure or rush to finish and leave.

From the first visit, I was made to feel at ease and enjoyed a drink in peace while the children happily crafted away. On subsequent visits I've been so impressed, as have my children, at how the owners remember my children's names and their creations. They always take the time to praise the children's efforts and have friendly chats with all who come in. It really does feel like a home from home and that you are with friends. As an added bonus, no tidying up either! Would recommend to all!
