Placed an order back in early May for a Lo-pro bed and bedside tables... heads up, this is a long one.

Took a couple of attempts to get some colour samples posted out to choose the stain. Didn't seem like a big deal at the time, but in hindsight was probably an indicator of things to come.

Approx 2 months later we'd not heard anything, so chased it up to be told it was all ready. We'd chosen to collect rather than pay for delivery so agreed a Saturday - arranged a van, was en route only to be texted 'don't come, i'm in A&E'. Fair enough, these things happen - so said come Sunday instead. Got another text Sunday morning saying don't come. Agreed to deliver instead free of charge by way of apology - fine, all good.

Delivery turned up a few weeks later, but the bedside tables had been 'forgotten'. One of the side beams of the bed had a twist in it so left an unsightly gap on the corner joint. The headboard beam wouldn't assemble as the dowels / holes weren't aligned. Also seemed a bit odd that the slats still had the barcode stickers on, bought from Screwfix. How a product like this doesn't go through a test build is crazy - zero quality control.

After some chasing, we got a new date to come and rectify a few weeks later, Saturday 11-12am. By 2pm no show so started calling and leaving messages, no reply. Monday morning, we then got a call saying the driver had said we weren't in - a straight up lie (unless he was at the wrong house).

Arranged another time for Thursday at 6pm. Texted at 4pm to make sure they were on the way. 'Sorry, i've made a mistake, I had Friday written down'. At this point we'd had enough so gave Chris a very clear and firm deadline.

Someone turned up this next time and fixed the bed, then we saw bedside tables... the standard of craftsmanship is basic at best. Screw heads all visible, black felt tip pen construction lines and numbers still visible, screws that are too long have the points sticking out. Only the surfaces that are intended to be visible have been sanded and stained. Some surfaces are very rough, potentially splintery. The price of this product for this level of quality is an absolute joke (I've just finished sanding and re-staining it). The stain was not dry in places, so it was quite clear these had only been finished recently, so maybe hadn't been forgotten after all.

By far the most hopeless company i've ever dealt with. It's a real shame as the design is excellent, but the execution and service is awful. I'd like to say we were just one of the unlucky ones, but judging by previous reviews I doubt this is the case.

On the plus side, we did receive a small refund as a gesture of good will.

I wouldn't say don't order from this company, but just be prepared to be very patient, do a lot of chasing, and do some finishing touches yourself. And pay through Paypal so you have an intermediary to go back to should it all go south.

Lo-Pro bed is beautiful thanks, we always get compliments from visitors. Asim shelving is nice too. Good company and products, will use again.

Fantastic bed. Love it.

However..... upon ordering, I was given a 4-6 lead time for delivery, which I was happy to wait. I had just moved house when I placed the order, so was grateful for the time to get more organised before the bed arrived.

After about 5 months; numerous emails; several days lost waiting in for promised deliveries that never materialised; and a paypal dispute, during which I asked for a full refund, it finally arrived. Not only that, I was gently complained to as PayPal had frozen the company’s account with them as a result of my complaint.

I was tempted to withhold my confirmation of delivery to PayPal for 5 months, but I’m not that petty!

It’s a shame as it’s a lovely bed, which deserves 5 stars. I’m usually fully behind independent traders (the reason I ordered from them in the first place). However my experience with this company, has Completely put me off ever ordering from them again.

I would urge anyone thinking of buying from them to read all the reviews first. If there are signs of improvement, then proceed with caution, the furniture is stunning and solid and you’ll be very happy with it. However, if there are repeated poor reviews, take note and rethink! There are other companies out there who make stunning furniture of a similar style!

This company is a joke!!! Ordered a coffe table that looked great but as time passed by the table became very warped and looks terrible! Also all the varnish has dripped all over my new rug. Chris the owner continuously ignores me and has promised 3 times to come and replace it but never turns up this has been going on a year now! Don’t trust this man!! He is a con artist! I will be taking this further as wasted £500. Please don’t order from this company.

We bought a chunky bed in 2016 which we found was really good quality so I decided to order the bedside cabinets that matched, 9 weeks in and still waiting, does not respond to emails and contact number does not accept calls. Not sure what's going on here as totally left in the dark, not good when you have already paid £370.

Bought large coffee table just over a year ago. Same as another customer, it looked great initially then warped out of shape really badly. Have emailed, but been ignored. This person has no idea how to run a business. Do not use them! £500 down the drain!!

Ordered a bed on 31 Dec 2018, heard nothing for 4 weeks, contacted Chris, he mentioned the bed is ready and will be sent out soon, 1 week later the amount is refunded, called to check whats happening, no answer and cost of standard delivery has gone up from GBP60-120. I don't know whats happening, but the customer service is not great.

Awful experience with this company. Installed a bed on my brand new carpet that has been left stained and refuses to assist with professional cleaning costs. Accused me of lying and suggested I have tampered with the bed and stained the carpet myself.
