First time Visiting Cavendish Arms and it was absolutely wonderful.

Food was amazing, I had the Vegetable Lasagna. It was delicious, it was homemade and arrived with garlic bread on the side. I ordered some chips as a side dish, they were really nice too.

My partner ordered the cod and chips and they really enjoyed it.

All the staff were really friendly especially our waitress.

The atmosphere and surroundings were really lovely, I especially loved the log burner, it looks great and smelt nice too.

The toilets were spotless.

Will 100% visit again and will bring the rest of the family next time.

Beautiful little pub in a nice quiet area of Doveridge, great sized beer garden and a good variety of drinks to choose from and very friendly staff members, decent sized car park.

Been to this pub a few times while visiting Doveridge. The food has always been good and enjoyable, although service has always been a lot to desire.
Visited the pub with friends on Thursday evening 05.09.24, with friends and food was ok, unfortunately returned again for a lunch time meal on and drinks on Saturday , unfortunately on this occasion the visit was to say the least disappointing. There was only one person on shift working the bar, serving the food and everything else that was required by the customer. Three of us had ham eggs & chips, this took ages to be served and when it did come up the food was atrocious, mine had to be sent back twice, my friends were far from happy with there meals. It seemed obvious the food was left under a hotplate for ages before being served, the whole scenario was a poor experience and unfortunately we will be thinking twice on visiting this pub on our return trip.

Good food and well priced although a little slow in coming out. Children's menu available. Friendly staff and made to feel welcome. Darts board too if that's your thing

We stopped here on our way home and couldn't have made a better decision. Had the lamb shank and nut roast and they were both absolutely delicious; one of the best Sunday roasts we've had in a while!

Staff were friendly, good selection of drinks, free parking, really affordable (especially for the quality of food) and there's even a darts board!

Wow. Never knew this place existed until my partner won a meal and we travelled over an hour to get here!

Not knowing what to expect we arrived to a very homely style local with a warm environment and warm welcome.

The food was probably one of the best meals I've had for a long while. Every course (there were 3!) Was just as perfect as each other.

It's a perfect place to visit whether you're passing or want to make a journey for a great wholesome meal!
