I recently purchased a Lexus IS300H from The Car Agents in Hitchin and I cannot recommend them enough, the experience from start to finish was outstanding.

I was traveling quite a distance to pick the car up, sight unseen, and Simon ensured that the description of the car was completely accurate so that there were no surprises upon collection. In fact it was even better than expected! The level of preparation was brilliant, and the detail/valet provided infinitely better than any other dealer I have experienced.

The showroom and dealership were extremely clean and welcoming, with free refreshments and a variety of interesting cars and bikes.

Aftercare has been fantastic, and although I have had no issues with my new car, I am very confident that if I were to have any issues, they would be resolved with no hassle whatsoever.

Overall a brilliant experience, and I would certainly use TCA again.

Sold my car to these, after agreeing a price (which was already low) he wanted to knock me down again on collection. Firstly tried with the service history, saying I didn’t have all of it until I proved it to him that I did, then said 2 of my alloys must have been refurbished at different times because he could see a colour difference; this wasn’t true, they were both refurbished on the same morning whilst I was there. After this he wasn’t happy with the front brakes but I said I hadn’t driven it for a while which would explain the low noise that the rust causes. He then said there wasn’t much money to be made on my car anyway so I was to take or leave a new offer below the previously agreed figure. 6 days later he put up my car for £6,000 more than what he took it off of my hands for. Very immoral and shameful actions to manipulate people like this. Completely put me off of the car market.

Fantastic service from start to finish, reserved car over the phone as was 3 hours away and then travelled up to purchase , Josh stayed in contact through out with updates on the car being prepped for collection, on arrival there was no pushy sales tactics and was allowed to view the car on my own before taking it for a test drive with Josh, after viewing several cars from other garages and then visiting The Car Agents, they were miles ahead on customer service and the whole buying experience, would 100% use again

Having found what I was looking for on Autotrader I was interested to find the seller was not, as expected, a BMW main agent, but rather a company called The Car Agents. I checked a little further with Autotrader and came across their somewhat Pink Panther-like video stating that they had been operating in the Hitchin area for over 30 years. It also stated that their environment and attitude towards business is like that of a boutique hotel rather than a high-pressure selling environment and that business should be a pleasure. I was intrigued.

I called and spoke to Simon, his attitude was exactly like that expressed in their video, nothing seemed too much effort, all my questions were answered immediately and he clearly had a good knowledge, not only of the vehicle I was interested in but also of its previous owner, in contrast to the main dealers to whom I had also been conversing.

I then checked out their customer feedback. It was as if it had all been written by the company itself, unabashed praise throughout.

After another call to Simon about my own vehicle as a trade-in, and based on the photos I had taken of it, he made me what I considered to be a fair offer. As their video stated, no high-pressure sales just a simple, straightforward fair price. He even offered to deliver the vehicle in question, free of charge, and to take mine back, subject to inspection. This would have been a round trip of some 160 miles. This made me somewhat suspicious, why was he that eager to sell it?

I needn’t have worried, having decided to take my vehicle personally and check the premises out for myself, it was exactly as the video had described The atmosphere was much like that of a boutique hotel and there were no high-pressure sales technique whatsoever. Simon’s attitude was that of someone I had known for years as was that of the remainder of his staff.

I concur with all those glowing comments on his feedback pages and would without hesitation recommend The Car Agents to anyone looking for something just that bit special.

Having worked for years in prestige car sales I have quite high expectations and TCA really impressed me.
