This place is incredible! I happened upon it when walking around and quickly realized this is the place I’d seen online nearly twenty years ago, THE legendary one of a kind original British Boot Company. Nick greeted me and was beyond helpful. I knew immediately I’d be coming back the next day to get something, man am I glad I did. I wear a large size (14 US) and it’s always hard to find something for me in stock. Well, not here! I had my heart set on some Solovairs, Nick said he had just the thing and he was absolutely right. Set me up with a stunning pair of 11 eyes that fit perfectly that they don’t even make anymore. They have tons of new old stock. I will definitely be ordering a pair for my brother’s Christmas present as well. If you’re in London you should absolutely pop in and see Nick and the crew, they will absolutely get you squared away. 10/10 experience. Thanks boys!!

I had known the shop for some time and now my husband visited it with me. He bought a pair of Tredair. But then had doubts about the first pair he tried on. Sent an email, went back to the store to try them on and changed the boots for Gladiators the next day. It wasn't a problem at all as long as they weren't worn. We did not get any money back, but we could choose to get the amount back in wax and laces. Great service! He will buy his next pair back from you. Nick and Colin, thank you very much! Nothing compares or comes close when we’re talking about the Original shoe makers and sellers of such classics. Great history behind it that cannot be replicated. What a privilege to have been part of the culture, and what an honor to have been serviced and supported by owner Nick himself.

Great store, worth traveling continents for. Customer service was above and beyond. They're happy to accommodate special footwear needs, make helpful suggestions to accommodate and break in footwear, as well as ship globally. They'll take the time to ensure you're happy, properly fitted, and leaving with quality footwear, in addition to information about the companies you're buying from, where they're manufactured, and the corresponding quality.

Authentic experience Amazing shoes!
Just spent a wee while in the shop and came out with a big smile and my new Docs.
A real pleasure to meet a professional retailer who really knows his products and takes periods in listening to his customers needs.
Nick took the time to stretch out one shoe for me so they fit perfectly and are 90% already broken in.
How cool is that.

I got the chance to meet Nick, the fifth generation owner of the shop. I was particularly looking for a pair of Dr. Martens that is classy, vintage and functional. He let me try some and tell me about it’s differences. I’m lucky to cop a 35-year old stock Dr. Martens made in England. Such an experience visiting the shop and learn some history.

I got the chance to meet Nick, the fifth generation owner of the shop! Met him through TikTok as I was trying to figure out good shops to go to for new boots. Ran into his shop on TikTok and I was instantly impressed by his vast knowledge of boots.

Spent about an hour in the shop and came out with a big smile and my new boots!! It was a real pleasure to meet a professional retailer who really knows his products and takes time in listening to his customers needs.

Nick took the time to find the perfect pair for me! I wanted something comfortable for my wide feet and functional! I'm 100% impressed and they feel great.

This is the only place you want to come to & buy your Doc Martens from. Not only are the shoes better quality & last longer, Nick knows his stuff with the boots, and they sell 4 other decent boot brands here. Nick is helpful, informative & passionate, he knows how to get you the right shoe the first time, like it’s a quick process & he gets it right! They are a store that has repeat customers, 11 years between visits as your shoes or boots from here 1) last 2) are comfortable 3) are good quality but also customers are so happy with their purchases, that they only want to come here to buy new pairs. That is what you want from a customer, someone who won’t go anywhere else as they know the perfect place to get decent shoes from & we should have decent shoes. I know myself I was last here in 2017 & again in 2024. Buying a different pair but I would only come here. This is a great store that’s been going since 1851 & that’s quite something. Buy your boots here.
