Lovely little gem of a place. Welcoming and friendly staff. We just had hot drinks but they all tasted and presented beautifully. Next time we will be trying one of the tempting cakes

Caught up with friends over a bit of lunch.
First of all, it does look small at the front (we weren't even sure it was open) but after the gift shop, it does open out a little and is dog friendly. Although, it seems most places are in castleton!
The selection of cakes was awesome, I had the scone and cream, one friend had waffle and the other had the Scottish broth. All of us confirmed our corresponding foods was great. Service was really swift and polite. Would come back again!

Really lovely tearoom, the food was delicious. Lovely home made scones, tomato pesto and mozzarella panini was very tasty with delicious home made coleslaw. I had the Black Forrest hot chocolate which was one of the nicest hot chocolates I've ever tasted. Friendly staff, very clean. Would definitely recommend.

Great place to end the day after a walk up
Mam tor, cake and ice cream were delightful tea was refreshing and much needed. Genuinely looked like a great place reasonably priced for quality food and drink really friendly service with an added quirky gift shop Thank you

Great food at good prices, even brought out left over sausages for the dog 🐶
Need more places like this in the peaks which are dog friendly.
Very flexible with the menu, brought out poached eggs & beans on toast after breakfasts had finished.

Visited for lunch after a long afternoon of hiking Mam Tor and surroundings.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere with great background music, generous sandwich portion (I had tuna mayo), vegan chocolate pecan brownie was delicious and loved their tea (pear and ginger).

Paid about £15 for a pot of tea, brownie and sandwich which was fair.

You’d be silly to not visit this place if you’re in the area.

Lovely little cafe where I got a takeaway tea and slice of Bakewell tart to eat sitting on a bench of theirs outside.

The staff were so friendly, and very accommodating to my specific request for a middle slice, not an edge!

Amazing tea room, deceptively big, most of the seating is behind the gift shop so don't be deterred if there is no room up front. The staff are very welcoming and efficient. We had cooked breakfasts and they looked and tasted great using top quality ingredients. I also tried the Nutella Mocha new to the menu and it's a absolutely delicious! Our go-to from now on when we visit Castleton, thanks very much Bay Tree!
