Me and my partner ordered one beef roast and one lamb. Can honestly say it was one of the best roast. Portion size just right! Ordered cauliflower cheese and I can say that was the best cauliflower cheese I've ever tasted. Also biscoff Sunday was really nice. Staff are really friendly, I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Absolutely spectacular, what a fantastic pub with amazing food, fantastic service and really friendly locals.
Only an hours walk from Canterbury along the Stour Valley way and there's an hourly train from the nearby station to get you back.

We live local to the pub but never had tried it out until today and were very surprised at how amazing the food was. Regret not having tried it before in the last 5 years that we've been here.
They know a thing or two about delicious comforting pub food. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 course meal and can't wait to go back for more!
Staff were very polite and service was excellent so thank you for a lovely evening.

What a wonderful place ! Very typical, very english. Food was delicious. Please try the mussels ! They even cooked some food for children that was not in the menu. Definitely a 5 stars ! Thank you for the warm welcome and history information of the pub.

A proper pub. Nice staff, friendly locals and good food and drink.

I chose a Bacon, lettuce and tomato baguette and a side order of chips from their lunch menu washed down with a nice cold pint of Five Grain lager. The food was brought out promptly, was well presented and most importantly was very tasty.

The pub had a nice relaxed atmosphere with some good music playing in the background. There is also a beer garden behind the property which we didn't use on this occasion, but have in the past.

The pub is also used by many walkers and also cyclists who stop off there after a walk or cycle along the nearby river which is very picturesque and peaceful.

Highly recommended.
