We have lived in Hinckley for many years now, and bizarrely enough, we have never actually gone into the Swagbox Gift Shop, this is a mistake that we have rectified today.

We were just browsing and not expecting to buy anything but ended up leaving with a gorgeous upcycled oak standard lamp base and an exquisite vintage lampshade that were exactly what we were looking for.

The entire shop is like an Aladdins cave that is beautifully presented, every corner you turn there is something new and interesting to look at.

The whole shop looks like it is decorated and presented with love and the staff are brilliant. We had a lovely chat with the two ladies who were working there, nothing was too much trouble, even extracting the lamp, where the power lead was behind several displays was no issue, once we collectively found which socket it was connected too.

They even went into the attic to find more lampshades for us to look at. We were so happy to have gone to Swagbox today, it was a very pleasurable and productive trip, and to top it all off, the shop even comes with its own beautiful shaggy dog who is more than happy to roll over for tummy strokes.

Highly recommend shop, you won’t regret going, I can’t believe it’s taken us so many years to visit.

I love this shop so much! Not just for what they sell but getting to see the dogs and the lovely ladies who own/run the shop. How they dealt with covid and how they treat their customers is wonderful. I can’t recommend enough!
