Great little shop that sells fresh fish, lots of lovely game, fruit and vegetables.

Staff are really friendly got myself a coffee and homemade cake and enjoyed it on a bench outside the shop in the sun.

Popped in before the carnation was lovely to see this little shop put in so much effort. Shop had so much to offer and most very local products. Took home some wonderful fresh prawns and a nice smoked haddock. Can’t wait to visit again x

Fantastic little shop, has a great selection of fresh fish, game and veg. Owner was lovely and polite. Only popped in for a cold drink and ended up with some lovely cod for dinner. 100% would recommend this place if your in the area

Very friendly lady, as was the previous owner, (the new owners uncle) 😊
Now accept cards which is better as nearest cash machine is at least a mile down the road. There was a plate of venison sausages to sample, along with a chilli jam sauce. The sausages were lovely and of course we bought some 😋
Only moan is that there were two lots of cockles etc on sale. One lot in glass jars which you can buy at any Supermarket, selling at £2+ a jar. The others which I did buy, we're £6+ for a pot with just a few more in. That wasn't my issue. If you are selling local fish, please keep it local not from Leigh on Sea in Essex as the cockles were from.
Hastings and Rye are closer, and more local to buy fish items from, to sell in the shop.
Will visit again as otherwise happy 😊

Fantastic Fishmongers carrying on in a long established family business where even now we have 3 generations present. The crabs and scallops are unbeatable in freshness and taste. The veg and fruit are gorgeous. What can be better than going for a swim in the sea followed by buying fresh fish and veg and an ice cream all served by such a lovely family. I can't wait until I return!

Excellent food but owner has a bee in his bonnet about accepting visa card because of price that Barclays charges per transaction. I only had a tenner, so I couldn't buy all the venison and scallops I wanted...which was a shame as I wanted to take some stuff home. Still, it is his business and if he doesn't want to market to his customers requirements and maximise his returns, that is up to him.

All fresh products, polite and always happy to serve and give advice. Get my Christmas meats every year even though I have to travel 20 miles. I visit several times a year under normal times but missed last year due to covid.
