We have recently moved to Heathfield and both love eating fish.
Our estate agent recommended the fish platter which was an excellent choice. We chose one with crab and this was surrounded by various shellfish and smoked fish.
We shall definitely be returning to this shop. With the combination of friendly service and a varied selection of fish, it is a winner.

Perhaps we went on a bad day😤
The service was very abrubt almost rude, couldn't really be bothered, hardly any choice of fresh fish, then we were told haddock & cod tasted the same.
If this is customer service you certainly won't be having our custom again & we made a special journey over to Heathfield.

I have always found the fish shop Sussex by Sea to be better than excellent ;Don and Jill go out of their way to provide an excellent service. Don will always order in fish for special occasions and he is an authority on the fish business. I would easily give his excellent business ten stars if I could.

I was given a flier which advertises 25% off from Monday to Wednesday inc for OAP’s.. When I came to pay I was told it was NHS only on a Wednesday and there should have been a sticker over the original. I reluctantly paid full price ( not cheap) and was given another flier the same as I received before, without the sticker.
I also asked for the fish to be skinned and when I returned home, I found the skin still on.
Sadly, I found the gentleman serving rude and grumpy. I am not one of those who only leaves bad reviews but sadly, on this occasion, I would rather have gone to Tesco!!

Rude and miserable, felt like my money was not good enough. Went in for local fish, when I got home packaging said Asia. Not impressed, will NOT return!
