What a gorgeous restaurant-and gorgeous people who own and run it. Food absolutely delicious and lovely server very attentive. Tea, bread and butter and fish and chips for £9.99 each! Fantastic!! Can’t wait to return.

Unfortunately cant give a 0 and rate, so have to be a 1. Very amateur. Staff not wearing hair nets! Disorganised, hardly busy when ordered. Fish was practically non existent, fish batter disappeared with the paper. Chips all stuck together and tasted oily, like tainted sour taste. They seemed to be day old chips re cooked in old oil.
Battered sausage barely cooked, very grey and watery. Totally over priced for just fish, reg chips and battered sausage. Totally avoid!

Just spent the best part of £18 here this evening and it wasn’t the best to be honest. The chips were not cooked properly mor like blanched and soggy. Chicken donner was ok but could have been better, My partner had small fish and chips but the batter was soft/soggy not crispy and same with the chips again not cooked all the way through. Dissatisfied to say the least. Won’t be eating here again. Learn to cook properly! Don’t just blanch the chips in the oil.

Poor experience. The staff lacked any social skills. The food wasn't much better. The calamari wasn't edible. The 1 bonus was how cheap it was. I don't recommend at all.

This placed used to be Mantles and we used to travel from Nottingham because the fish was so good. However, it has been taken over by new people and we tried it today. It was the worst fish and chips we have ever had. The cod was tough with a horrible hard too well done batter and the chips were also over cooked and both were tasteless. Very expensive at £9.50 for a medium sized fish. We won’t be going again.

I ordered a chicken tikka chapati roll with mayonaise which cost a staggering £9.95
Which for a decent good sized tasty wrap would be the higher end of cost but acceptable if the quality was high.
In this case the wrap itself was no thicker than a cheap sausage roll and had a total of 5 cubes of chicken with no sauce.
The tikka marinated chicken tasted good but not anything to rave about.
The chapati was almost dry and quite tasteless.
It was gone in a few bites and didn't cure my hunger at all.
I hope this is a good insight into my experience. Thanks
