We had an absolutely fantastic experience after Summerhill came highly recommended by lots of people for their Christmas range & value for money! We were not disappointed - we went with the expectation to browse but we ended up leaving with so many unique little bits! They managed the volume of people fantastically. One of my favourite things was the ‘wish wall’ that really added a special touch. It is massive but laid out perfectly and so well organised! I have recommended to even more people - fantastic place if you want to get in the Christmas cheer & respected how well priced it was (Garden Centres can be very expensive). Also shout out to the middle ages blonde lady that served me - what a radiant energy she gave, so friendly and helpful. Thank you!!

We try and visit a new garden centre each year when christmas arrives because we love to see the different displays that they put on, and I have to say Summerhill has the best display of christmas items I have seen (so far) it's huge! I took my two children, and they loved looking at everything and what made a wonderful addition was that there are photo opportunities around to create some lovely memories 😊 While we were here we visited the cafe and was very impressed by there menu and how much they had to offer on it, we only had coffee and cake but I'm looking forward to going back for lunch with some friends soon.
Didn't get to go into the sweet shop or the aquatic part as by the time we looked around and had a coffee, it was closing, but I've heard great things about it.

Came for hot drinks and cake ,arrived just before 11 am ordered and sat down the cafe was quiet but lots of staff, drinks and cake arrived promptly with friendly waitress,
As soon as 2 of us finished our coffee (others drinking still) came and started clearing table left the cups still in use ,I really don’t want to feel rushed while engaging in deep conversation with friends,then waitress was back and forth soon came back trying to clear cake plates ,I must state the cafe was very quiet so not waiting for tables,
We was having (trying to) a conversation which would have been obvious,so maybe ask waitress to read the room as I found it quiet rude to hover and keep swooping in and out trying to clear while eating cake and drinking still ,we left as soon as possible total visit including ordering was 45 minutes,we felt rushed and like we was in the way but we clearly wasn’t as triple the amount of empty tables to people seated and nobody at the desk ordering,when I asked to leave the cups after there 3 rd visit to clear she pulled a face,really not on ,the cafe is lovely so is the food but waiting staff maybe need some training on etiquette when serving people ,we will try again here as liked the cafe and food

A real destination garden centre with about 1001 other things to see or do. Annoyingly I always ended up spending money here! Great selection of items, has indoor and outdoor items you won't find elsewhere. Not expensive. Has a huge plant pot selection. As Essexians love their BBQs, it has a huge accessories range here. Plenty of indoor plants to choose from. Didn't eat at restaurant but it was busy and seemed to have a good atmosphere. Has customer toilets at end of garden centre. They love a theme at this garden centre. I think I saw about 10 different ones.

What an awesome place! We travelled all the way from Dover, because we'd heard about the Christmas department. Despite the drive, we will definitely be visiting again as there's so much more to see! Everything is accessible, and the staff we spoke to were lovely.

Loved our visit yesterday as usual.
I’ve been coming here so many years now and it’s changed so much over the years for the better.
There is so much to see here from a wide variety of plants, garden furniture, seeds and tools.
What I love is I can bring my dog along too and she is made so so welcome. She also loves the fact there is a pet shop area.
Christmas time is amazing with all the beautiful displays of decorations everywhere.
Whatever the time of year you visit there’s always something to see.

Fantastic garden centre alongside the a127. Good sized car park. Amazing plant selection.
Seasonal decorations, pots planters garden furniture and all.

Bit on a pricey side but amazing quality, can find everything you are looking for under one roof.
Always neat and tidy. Polite personnel.

Highly recommended all year around.
