They asked me to disassemble some new furniture and when they collected after paying a hefty fee they discarded it.
I asked Citizen Advice and Which? about my options and they suggested to try mediation. As nothing happened, I took them to a Small Claim Court.

The judge ruled in their favour because of the wording of the small print, but he curtly denied I paid their legal expenses they were asking for. I ended up paying a lower two-figure sum I think was for petrol and food their rep asked for (or something like that).

The judge also said the way they treated my furniture "raised a few eyebrows."
What they paid me for my "stuff" they didn't discarded was way below the prices I checked online for similar items at the time.

This happened more than 10 years ago but as I was browsing eBay, I came across this outfit. How can they still be operating?
I read the reviews. Their 4* ones are mostly from people who bought stuff from them. The 1* ones, and there are quite a few, are mostly from people who they treated the way they treated me.

I felt that if I had published my experience, other people would avoid engaging with them so I'm adding my bit. Some of the words I read on other reviews echo my feelings towards this company.

I'm attaching the pictures of the items they asked me to disassembled and then discarded. I hope at least some decent family is enjoying them and not all went lost in this unpleasant experience.

Wonderful service. I received my package well before I expected it since I'm in the US and it shipped from the UK. The cordial glass set was exactly as described and pictured. Unfortunately, one of the glasses in the set got broken in transit and once I made Stuff U Sell aware of the issue, they rectified the situation immediately by giving me a refund for the price of the damaged item. I am 100% satisfied and will definitely not think twice about buying from them again.

Only the postman has let me down by not leaving my delivery with a neighbour when I’ve not been home which has meant me organising a friend to drive me to Royal Mail parcel office as I don’t drive!!

Initially I thought - clever idea, this looks like a great company helping you make some money and give your clothes a second life. But how wrong I was. My experience has been entirely negative. All told I have lost hundreds of pounds due to their punishing small print. After months of sales I have a negative balance of minus £100 and the amount I owe them is growing daily. They charge a fee for withdrawing items of £25 per item so if I want my stuff back I would have to pay even more! The only choice is that I give them all my items. So after all of this I will receive NOTHING. I should have read the small print. I really wouldn't recommend them.
