Visited the shop today for a couple of basic items only.
The gentleman serving at the counter was not a bit friendly, ( we are clearly not locals as wearing walking gear and carrying rucksacks)
In actually fact I would say bordering on being quite rude.
No matter what a customer buys it is good manners to at least say Thank you.
He never spoke 1 word other than the amount required.
I would not be so keen to shop there again.

Very expensive, get things with rrp on packet or it will be marked by a lot. The food in the reduced section is out of date. There is a bottle of orange juice which went out of date on the 26th sept, it is now the 2nd oct. I purchased microwaved mash potato and I’ve just realised it’s 2 days out of date.

The ladies are super and over worked. They deserve better than the manager who told me this morning that it “wouldn’t do me any harm to wait “ in a queue of 4 people whilst he was filling up sandwiches. He was most put out when I asked him to serve. Customers

I've just waited in the Post Office queue here to be summarily ignored and queue jumped by another customer wanting his bloody lottery tickets checked! Should have challenged both the members of staff involved, but as I'd already waited for several minutes, I'd likely have said something I may regret, so will post this here then report both members of staff to their employer.

Very useful when staying in the area. Has everything you need, open most of day. Friendly staff. Might cost a bit more than a supermarket but saves going all the way to Buxton and wasting petrol.
