We stayed here for one night and had a lovely view of Windsor castle. The room itself was spacious, clean and regal. The breakfast was the highlight of our stay - so many options and you could sit Thames side and watch all the swans swimming as you ate and listened to calming music they had on. Lovely atmosphere.

Perfect for single traveller. Easy walking access to Eton, and Windsor attractions. Be advised however, there is no lift/elevator in the older main house. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room: the kettle was nowhere near an electrical point and had to be put on the floor. The switch for the bathroom towel rail was high up near the ceiling. Breakfast: buffet style - excellent.

We recently enjoyed a two night stay at the Sir Christopher Wren Hotel and highly recommend it. The reception staff were very welcoming, as were the staff in The Brasserie. We had a lovely large room with a large bathroom and everything was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and The Brasserie is a lovely place to enjoy a drink in the evening. The hotel is in a great location, right near the Castle and on the river. Parking is available nearby at an additional cost and prebooking is recommended. We will definitely stay again when we visit Windsor.

We had a lovely stay at the Christopher Ren Hotel in Windsor. The location is absolutely perfect—right on the river, offering a tranquil setting with beautiful views. Watching the swans glide by was such a peaceful highlight. The atmosphere was relaxed and charming, making it a wonderful riverside retreat. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene escape in a picturesque spot.

Murder mystery event with a meal in this lovely hotel on banks of the Thames. Nice cosy room, really great staff and service. The murder mystery was fun and the meal was very good. If I had a criticism it was the scrambled eggs at breakfast but this was the only issue. Great value and great location.

For the price we paid this was a perfect break. We booked for a Thursday and Friday evening , and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were helpful, friendly and professional. We stayed in a modern extension across the road and the room was clean, well proportionated and had all modern amenities. The hotel is literally minutes away from the castle and the centre of Windsor.
The main hotel has a couple of quiet reading rooms, a lovely brasserie and peaceful terrace overlooking the river.
We enjoyed our trip that much we are about to book for a another break later in the year.

We were due to stay for two nights here but stayed just the one night, had a family crisis, but even if we hadn't we would have still come home. The staff were friendly and efficient both at reception and in the brasserie. Our air con/heating wasn't working and the room was very hot and stuffy even with the small opening in the windows. We complained and they gave us a fan which helped a bit. Breakfast was a car crash. Plenty of choice but all tastless. Scrambled eggs were powdered not real eggs, bacon very salty, hash browns weren't greasy which was a plus but again tasteless. Mushrooms greasy, tomatoes had some form of herb on them but again tasteless. I don't understand how everything could have been so bad. Car parking is a trek but worth it as parking in Windsor is a nightmare. Would I return, probably not, shame as it's a lovely hotel and the staff made it more bearable.

I stayed at the Sir Christopher Wren hotel for 2 nights in March 2025 as part of a trip to visit Windsor Castle. ideally situated on the bank of the river Thames, my wife and I were very impressed with the ambience, service and standard of hotel. Although slightly more expensive than other hotels available in the area, the price was worth it for the ease of getting to and from the castle and Windsor town centre.

Evening dining was very nice and we enjoyed our breakfast on both mornings. The staff were very helpful and polite and I would stay here again if I was visiting Windsor.
