Pleasantly surprised to see a good range of quality products on offer at this store from men and women’s clothes to makeup and homewares. We found Sara Miller mugs that were already discontinued. So glad we popped in today as we got them for good prices.

The people at the store were so nice and let us come and wait inside this shop till someone who was harassing us on the street had left. They were even nice enough to leave the shop and check if the person had left so it was safe for us to leave. P.s, the lady (customer) who told us to come inside and asked if we needed help was especially so sweet. ~ Although we didn’t actually buy anything, we hope your store flourishes 🩷

Such a hidden gem for shoppers at the heart of Holloway!
Always been a favourite department store of mine for over 20 years since I first discovered it. A lot has changed in the area in terms of the shops. There used to be an M&S and Burger King few shops away and I am glad to see James Selby's, a family run department store stood the test of time. If you have a look of their history at their website, founded in 1845, it survived the Great Depression and WWII. Loving the old school style, very nostalgic.

Upmarket brands (Seasalt, Topshop, Barbour, Fred Perry, Hobbs, Whistles, Superdry, Mango, Faith, Warehouse, Apricot, Valentino bags) without the London price tag. I visit every fortnight just to check out their regular sale, especially the kitchen department for their Le Creuset range and tableware items. Their bedding section has a huge selection too (Sheridan, Christy, Laura Ashley, Orla Kiely). I hope the bring back their Lotta Jansdotter duvet covers which I absolutely love! There is also a good selection of perfume and cosmetics counters (Estee Lauder, Clarins, L'Occitane, Dior, Benefit, Lancome, Clinique, Chanel, Molton Brown) at the ground floor..

Overall, it's a great place to do shopping. There are a lot of variety you can buy there without the need of going to the crowded and busy West End.

I hadn't been in here for years because it used to be quite depressing but WOW what a transformation! Lovely selection of high quality brands and items, really colourful displays, clean, tidy and very helpful staff. I had the dog, the pram and a wriggly toddler with me and still managed to enjoy myself and get everything I needed!
