Very good, friendly service from the staff. Unfortunately, I had to return the Leyland trade acrylic Primer undercoat d that I had just bought. When I opened it, the paint was a lot thicker, blancmange like. Linzi was very helpful, opened another tin that was the
same. I received a refund. I went to Toolstation and bought the same item, nothing wrong with it. Screwfix might need to check that the current stock is not all the same.

This review would of been a 5 had I not had to return the item and be confronted and interrogated by the staff member at the Royton branch.
My initial visit to buy some work trousers was trouble free. Excellent friendly service from the young man who served me.
However.....the trousers did not fit and I returned them within an hour and half, to exchange them for a different size. This is where the level of service was awful.
The older lady with grey hair and glasses basically tried to belittle me in the shop by telling me off because the trousers were not folded exactly the same way as when I collected them and because I had ripped the bag when opening them. The bag was a thin clear plastic bag, not an official bag and ripped very easily. The bag ripped even more when the staff member tried to take off a barcode sticker. After she had tried to tell me off for ripping the bag I pointed out that she was ripping the bag. She snapped "I won't exchange them in a minute!". I told her she will. I'm sure there's nothing in consumer law that states you cannot exchange an item if you rip a plastic bag to open it.
These trousers still did not fit. But I returned them to the middleton branch who were extremely helpful. No one shouted at me they quite happily exchanged my item.
These trousers purchase at Middleton were in an official site plastic bag, unlike the very thin flimsy bag from Royton.
My advice... go to the Middleton Branch.
The female server at Oldham has let the rest of the staff and the store down. Such a shame.

The chap at the Royton Oldham store was fab!!! I ordered a product and for some reason it picked a store miles away from home( my fault for not checking) the member of staff was amazing, he rang the wrong store got them to transfer to the right store and sorted it all out, even offered me a brew,credit to your company!! Ian was great if only more companies had excellent staff like this !!

I would recommend this store in Shaw to those who are deaf/hard of hearing. My partner visited our local Rochdale Branch and they barely even look at customers never mind try and communicate - he always struggles there and I think there should be some training provided there to improve customer service. We dropped by this branch in Shaw and was served by the store manager Alan who could surprisingly communicate via BSL with my partner and we were able to find the product we needed with his assistance. Thanks so much for your help Alan ?

If I could give zero stars I would do. Ordered some door handles on line, website said 4 available in store. Went into store to collect only to be told they wouldn’t be in for 4 days so asked for refund. Refused refund as the item wasn’t in store, so basically paid for something I have not received. Can this be lawful? Assistant worse than useless and manager (Bev) I think you are long overdue some customer service training as was nothing short of rude and unhelpful, walked away huffing and puffing shaking her head!!I was a regular customer at Screwfix but will seriously consider never using again and will tell family and friends of poor experience and shocking non existent customer service skills.
