I appreciated them vetting applicants for rental properties beforehand so I knew that I was a likely candidate if I had a viewing. Too often, agencies will allow tens of people to view properties which means disappointing so many in a crowded market. Debbie and Ian were also lovely at the viewing.

This was the worst letting agent I've ever dealt with. I wouldn't trust them to manage my property or want to ever rent with them again. Luckily we were able to purchase a house shortly after using their services. When we first moved into the rented flat it had not been cleaned and was filthy. Dust everywhere, food in cupboards and quickly wiped mould on the walls. During our first month we noticed that our electric fan in the bathroom and kitchen light were making electrical sounds and tripped our electrics when turned on. We let the letting agent know straight away as it was concerning.

An electrician came to look at it, he disconnected them as they were tripping our electrics due to contact with water(Very dangerous the extractor fan electrics were fried). The electrician let us know that there was no way the property had passed an electrical certificate. After asking the letting agent about it they failed to produce one, which is illegal. It took over a year for Real Estates to resolve the issues and provide a pass certificate.

The guy Ian was pleasant to deal with but not good at answering emails and booking work to be done we had to keep asking for updates for things to get done. His wife however who works there too and who I assume all the bad reviews are about, was really rude over the phone when she called us, it was unkind and not in any way understanding of the issues we had. Luckily only had to speak with her once.

We hung the phone up because she was so rude and then we got an aggressive phone call back from the manager Ian because we hung up on his wife. She had also threatened that we would have to pay for another electrician to come out when it was Real Estates fault they had not been able to access the property. This was because when they replaced a door bell, failed to label it, left the old non working doorbell and also didn't provide the electrician with our telephone number.

One positive was they gave us our full deposit back when we left, no surprise after all the issues and potential fire risk from no electrical certificate.

I'm glad to see other bad reviews so that other people don't have to go through the same issues.

Not too sure how you can advertise a 2 bed property that isn't a 2 bed property? Rung up to speak about 2 properties and got a lovely gentlemen last week, he didn't give me the correct info though so when I rung to speak to someone today she was very rude on the phone for just asking generic questions. Curt and short replies, told me that one 2 bed wasn't really a 2 bed as it's tiny and no natural light. Should be advertised as a 1 bed with a reception room instead. Wouldn't recommend.
