It's a year or so since I was in this shop and bought a plate and a fab large plastic bowl. I've never forgotten the shop as it's simply cram full of gorgeous, quirky practical things. Love it and will return one day. Patsy from Aberdeen x

Hidden gem but what an incredible experience. One of the most exciting retail spaces in the U.K.
So many unique items and a range that suits all budgets. Also dog friendly with a car park for customers at the back.
I happily drive for hours to go to RE, as it fills me with joy on so many levels. Always great service and it’s worth going to experience the whole store! Just go!

Stumbled upon this place with family on New Year's Eve. What a wonderful, quirky place this is. I was tempted at getting a tie-dyed swirly bucket but came out with some hand-made metal things to hang in my new home (a bee and elephant). I will be back to run amok when I have more pennies to spend.

Like a living museum! Time travel! Brilliant "hidden" shop to visit just behind an ordinary Shell petrol station.

Visited this place for the third time in my life but the second time in the space of two weeks with my companion - I’d wanted to show him the shop having visited 10+ years ago myself, brought him last week and he wanted to visit again today. Made a small purchase and the elderly lady on the counter was extremely unhelpful with a face like thunder, she looked put out to be serving someone as he even approached the counter. My companion was making chit chat, said only discovered this place last week and I’m back here already, to be told with a dour and unfriendly face and snooty tone well we’ve been here for 20 years - I found this a bizarre way to treat a new customer who is literally buying something from you at the time - as if she was so insulted that he hadn’t heard of her amazing shop before recently that she was willing to be rude to him now he is in front of her and buying? As if he was lucky to be purchasing something from them? Really, really odd and not the way to treat new customers who are literally buying something from you at the time… I loved the shop enough to show it to someone but this completely unnecessary rude attitude has tainted their experience, bearing in mind they loved it the first time and previously the young assistants were excellent. Maybe a case of the owners believing they don’t need new customers who are only making small purchases and therefore they don’t need to treat them with basic respect? This doesn’t seem to correlate to the values they claim to espouse with their shop ethos - more about cynical capitalist opportunism. Maybe they need to go on a customer service course and practice what they pREach? Baffling and has completely soured my opinion of the place.
