The worst store in Guiseley, maybe Leeds, maybe Yorkshire, maybe the UK PROBABLY the worst in the World. Arrogant staff, rip off prices. Absolute hinderance to society. Should be banned from serving the public!!! Even witnessed them abusing a guy for parking outside their shop. Avoid this place. Should be shut down immediately. Reported recently to the HSE and local MP, please avoid!!! You have been warned!!

Great service, never have an issue, if you need help theyre happy to offer it, if not they let you get on with it, no one likes to be pestered if not needed! I Live pretty much next to this shop, and NEVER had an attitude problem, my boyfriend also loves their home made treats!
Never had a lost item, never had a package go missing from or to myself,
Some of these reviews are clearly from bored people.

I never leave reviews - I came here to leave a 5 star simply because I visit this shop so often and receive such a friendly service from the staff every time.

My jaw dropped when I saw the reviews - to read them, you'd think they flogged people as they came through the door.

Now I'll admit I've never tried to return a Hermes package through them which seems to be the point of contention, but every time I've been in all of the staff have been lovely. This includes the owner who people seem to centre their complaints around: he's always very polite to me.

I just had a quick google, and it is worth noting that Hermes appear to have a 10% parcel loss rate. That means is you just threw your parcel in the river, its 10% as good as attempting to return it via Hermes. Being certain that the store are the ones who lost it is a bit unjustified in these circumstances.

Find items to be way overpriced compared to local supermarkets. However, I would be happy to support a family owned business if the owners weren’t so unnecessarily rude. Glad they’ve stopped offering Hermes service seen as the owner had a mental breakdown every time someone walked in with a parcel. Why offer the Hermes parcel service if you’re going to moan about it all the time? Owners now seem more interested in insulting people rather than running a business.
If you want to support a family owned business but don’t want to deal with a rude manchild, go to Whitecross Convenience. They are really friendly and always helpful!

Me and my other half moved into guiseley a few months ago and the lovely people who run this shop are always polite and helpful.
I had a package to pick up this morning and the guy who I regularly chat with couldn’t be more helpful. I don’t understand the negative reviews what so ever!
You just have to understand that this is a shop as the main business and just be patience when going to collect something.
I mean packages won’t always be the people working that days main concern and that’s ok.
Always had a lovely experience and so do my family when visiting me.
You guys just keep doing you! We would be lost without you round the corner.

Nice guy with a sense of humour. I’ve seen some of the reviews on here - we all need to appreciate that these shops are doing us a favour by providing this facility and I always buy a few bits while I’m using them for Evri returns.

Also this guy’s machine worked first time. That in itself is a miracle for this service. He was helpful and courteous - what’s the issue people?

We recently had some defibrillator pads delivered to the shop which were needed urgently to get 2 local Public Access Defibrillators, that had been used, back into service.

We were advised that they had been delivered to the shop on the 12th of June so our local Defibrillator Guardian called in to pick them up. "The system is down, we cannot give you the parcel".

Explaining the urgency of the situation had no effect on the staff whatsoever. The Guardian called another 2 times over the following days and received the same response. We were now getting close to the date that they are allowed to send them back as "Unclaimed parcels" following which they would probably be lost in the system for days, if not weeks.

I therefore contacted Evri Head Office who were alarmed at what I told them was happening. They assured me that it would be resolved that day, and it was.

They sent someone to the shop to confirm that the parcel was there and then instructed them not to return the parcel, but make it available for the Guardian to pick up that day.

The Guardian called later that that day and had to take a tirade of insults from the staff before being given the parcel.

The member of staff even said:
Your Defibrillator Campaign is a joke, you send life saving equipment by Evri, thats a joke.

Our Defibrillator Guardians are volunteers, as I am, and we do not need this sort of abuse and aggro when simply looking to safeguard the community.

The staff in this store are extremely rude and unhelpful (one guy specifically) I can never ask a question about the Evri postal service without the owner of this shop having an attitude, he never wants to help! - I’ve still continued to shop in there regardless of how rude the staff are but I won’t be shopping there anymore and I recommend you don’t either. They don’t deserve your money. I also love how defensive the review comments are from the shop owner. Take some accountability and realise you have a terrible attitude and service, it’s bad for business.
