I recently stayed at Premier Inn Basildon (Festival Park) Hotel for 10 days, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The hotel truly offers excellent value for money, with clean and comfortable rooms that exceeded my expectations.
What stood out the most was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, kind, and reliable, always ready to assist with a smile, no matter the time of day. Their hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable and stress-free.
The location of the hotel is both a strength and a slight drawback. Itβs situated in a great area, perfect for exploring and enjoying the surroundings. However, it is a bit far from local transportation options, which might be a challenge for those relying on public transit.
Despite this minor inconvenience, I had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Premier Inn Basildon (Festival Park) Hotel to anyone looking for a budget-friendly stay with exceptional service.

Itβs basic, just the essentials needed for a quick nights stop to see family.||However, the staff there are amazing. They all went out of the way to accommodate a large party with toddlers. ||The receptionist on check in during the evening was lovely and the staff at breakfast were excellent. I popped in early to see if we could get some milk for my daughter and they made the milk, but also gave her banana too. They spent time talking to us and our children and weβre genuinely nice people.||It says a lot when we all left and said how nice the staff were. They are a credit to this hotel, because without them it would be just a bed to sleep on for a night. Thank you!

Bed was so comfortable! The breakfast was to die for. It was so nice to have a pick of hot food and pastries. The room was bigger than I expected and was worth the price. All staff there were lovely and made sure to always ask about my day/how I was/etc. Would stay again!

Pros: |Good location next to The Quays, a Hungry Horse Pub/Restaurant. |Large redecorated and upgraded room (220)|Helpful check-inn staff|Very clean |Plenty of parking (Christmas Eve)|Free internet ( you can pay Β£5 for 24 hours faster internet)|Overall charge for rooms is very reasonable if booked well in advance||Cons:|Very slow internet 0.92Mbps (but it is free)|Some noise from neighbouring room during the night and some loud voices in corridor around 9am.|Our room was on top floor up several flights of stairs and no lift.|Hotel is longish walk from the main areas of festival park.||Because of noise on last visit did not intend to stay here again but it was very convenient for meeting up with family so gave it another try. Better this visit but still some noise.||Overall 8/10

Was greeted on arrival by Courtney whose service, friendliness and knowledge of, well everything, helped me make the best of my stay in the UK. Special thanks also to David, Angie and Sophie who went the extra mile to meet my food needs and to chat to me as I was travelling alone this time. The hotel team worked excellently together and no small detail was overlooked. Extra care was paid to cleanliness of the room and in the restaurant. It was all extremely professional yet friendly and personal. I have never experienced this before and will go back there on account of the staff. Thank you all x

Tucked out the back of the Festival Park next to the Quays pub it feels a touch remote. With the pub next door though it's easy for food and a beer if you don't feel like the short walk to the park. It's now a touch faded and in need of some TLC and decorating. The room had a comfy bed and pillows (I like a firm bed and fairly solid pillows) The TV wasn't the largest and the shower tended to wander from hot to cold on the temperature front. Unfortunately the first room had "party" guests who thought the party was in their room and the second the usual "rampaging rhino stampers" above which was exacerbated by only thin wooden floor joists between us BUT.....the staff are fabulous, truly some of the VERY best I've come across especially Dave, (EVERYONE πππs Dave) with good reason, (he's a legend in reception!) Also the Lady who booked me in on the Wednesday night at 11.30 and I think it was Courtney the breakfast lady were wonderful. They are to a person, warm happy and friendly and make your stay memorable π₯° breakfast is good and plentiful in a buffet style with plenty of seating.
So....round-up - would I stay there? Yes for the comfy bed, breakfast and the fantastic staff, not for too long with the noisy guests.

The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was excellent with perfectly poached eggs. The service was first class very friendly and helpful. We would have no hesitation in returning and would recommend it to anyone. We look forward to next time.

Shabby - feels a bit neglected.||The reception staff are excellent - really welcoming and happy to assist. However, the hotel can do with a bit of maintenance. For example: The woodwork around the bath has obviously had some water damage (difficult to prevent, I know) but the wood has expanded/ warped meaning that you need to slam the bathroom door shut.||One other thing to point out is that the hotel is tucked away in an industrial park - maybe put up some signs to indicate where you are as driving there you tend to have the feeling "is this the right way.... surely not....".
