Do not buy any cars from pinewood auto’s ltd espically the white m4 (Ga55sdd) it has numerous faults wrong with it, 1 being a common issue with the s55 engine and also airbag faults in the system not to mention a damaged front splitter that they claimed was genuine bmw part but actually is a cheap eBay £85 front splitter
Mark is the worst salesman going and doesn’t have any knowledge in cars what so ever and they are compulsive liars, they don’t check the cars over properly they also use a m.o.t station that doesn’t check the cars properly, to be totally honest i haven’t got 1 good thing to say about the company…….
They claim all the faults are because of a bmw tracker on the car that is through the my bmw app, we have a had quite a few bmw’s and used the app and never had any issue with fault codes which goes to show they don’t know what they are talking about, the car was purchased with a brand new m.o.t and on the way home the rear seats fell on my 2 kids because they don’t lock And they say the m.o.t station they use is accredited and work to high standards but they don’t even check the seats work properly!!
BMW are not the only ones that can check for Milage fraud as the are 3rd party apps such as the Carly obd reader which is bmw compatable,I agree that the cars Milage is correct and that was a mistake on our behalf…You was told the moment we got the car home that we had noticed a hair line crack in the centre of the front splitter and the known faults the car has and you was told to have the car recovered but mark your salesman picked the car up and drove the car back to your forecourt, when mark arrivied back at yours he called us and said the front splitter has completely fell off and our argument to that was we told you about the hairline crack and the engine faults and you was told to recover the car by the finance team, so the way i see it, if you would of listened to the finance team and had it recovered the front splitter would of still been on the car with just the hairline crack, when looking back on the pictures when you listed the car if you zoom in you could actually see the crack.(we didn’t notice this until we got home) it took you 4 months to take the car back. Oh and I forgot to mention that when doing the logbook the salesmen done the logbook transfer as a private sale and not a trade sale which i found quite strange… he then told me they where selling the car on behalf of a neighbour. I haven’t got anymore to say apart from now we have our money back and are finally out of the agreement

I bought a VW Golf Cabriolet from Pinewood Autos. The service at the beginning was good, seamless transaction which is a positive. However, just 2 days after purchasing the car, faults were noticed. The roof was leaking very badly, 2 warning lights came on, amongst other issues. All of my belongings inside the car were ruined after it rained. The car was not in a fit condition to drive, and not worth the almost £6k I paid.

I contacted Pinewood 2 days after purchase to let them know about the issues. After about a week of trying to get a response from them, they recommended a local garage to me (as Pinewood’s trusted garage was apparently not taking on work) where I was assured the faults would be taken care of. The garage recommended did not respond to me so again, another week was wasted with a car that was getting mouldy and dangerous to drive with the warning lights on. I contacted Pinewood to ask for a full refund in return of the car, I did in fact receive a quick response and was given the chance to take the car to their trusted garage. Under the Consumers Rights Act 2015, I had 30 days to return the car for a refund as it was faulty. There was no time to wait for the car to be fixed which could take weeks, as I was concerned I would be out of pocket with a faulty car as multiple weeks were wasted where Pinewood had the chance to make the situation right.

I requested a refund again as this situation was causing me great distress. I also requested that Pinewood compensated me for the insurance cancellation fees, a mere gesture for the inconvenience this situation caused me. The business owner was out of the country and is supposedly the only person who has access to the company bank account so I dealt with Katherine and returned the car on the Saturday and was given written proof that I would receive the refund on the Monday, when the owner was back to work. I accepted this and asked Katherine to speak to her manager re the insurance cancellation fees and she assured me she would. I have ended up £100s out of pocket, with an almost full tank of petrol being in the car and multiple insurance policies having to be terminated, not to mention the time wasted dealing with this situation. The money at least did get refunded to me on the Monday however no correspondence and NO compensation in any form for this issue. It felt reasonable to simply ask for the fees to be covered - I would not have gained any money from this, rather just be slightly less out of pocket.

I understand it is difficult for leaks to become apparent until there is rain, however they should use due diligence when selling cars. This does not explain the engine warning lights, 5+ stone chips on the windscreen, the malfunctioning Stop Start technology and the Hill Start assist, as well as water sloshing about in the drains of the car. Overall, I would not recommend Pinewood Autos. They were incredibly difficult to deal with and unreasonable + unapologetic in their approach to this situation.

Martin was extremely accommodating and helpful all throughout the experience of buying our car from him. He collected me and my family from the local train station just to view the car that I had expressed interest in. He answered all the questions we had and helped us with arranging the finance and a motor plan. We're very satisfied with our purchase and want to thank Martin once again for his help.
